Fold and roll exercise mat

A new and improved tape rule that increases stiffness and standout length over standard tape rules is disclosed. The tape rule includes a primary rule and a secondary rule, the secondary rule providing increased strength. This invention can provide a variety of benefits, including increased blade flexibility while performing short extension related tasks, increased standout and reduced sag while performing tasks requiring longer extensions, reduced size and weight for tasks requiring the longest extensions and adds the ability to utilize alternate measurement methods or units and built in computational references.

Layered beam measurement apparatus

A multi-line chalk reel is disclosed that may be comprised of three or more line reels disposed in a polar arrangement of parallel but distinct rotation axes that has a single method for engaging and disengaging a single drive arrangement to any one spool. This arrangement provides a variety of advantages, including a package solution of useful dimensions and a low part count to minimize parts in assembly. The single drive arrangement reduces cost, and provides for convenient access to individual spools.

Multi-reel marking apparatus

A rollable beam measurement apparatus is disclosed. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a housing including a reel. A rule having a leading edge and a trailing edge is provided and the trailing edge is attached to the reel. An end hook is attached to the leading edge. In preferred embodiments, the rule comprises a pair of opposing rules forming a tubular structure. This new tape rule eliminates the typically unstable and flexible behavior of typical tape rules, providing the ability for stiffness and standout length in all orientations and in all environmental conditions. Furthermore, this invention improves the readability of the tape rule markings as well as maintains the accepted standard for tape rule stowage while providing these benefits.
