A method for controlling notifications from applications on a user device includes setting a priority for each application on the user device based on a predetermined priority input, defining a notification limit, wherein the notification limit defines a total number of notifications for presenting notifications allowed during a time period available to applications on the user device, and providing each application with a portion of the total number of notifications allowed during the time period based on the set priority. A computer program product, a computer readable memory storage unit, and a computing arrangement or user device may also execute the method.

Method for controlling notifications from applications on a user device

Location information of first and second mobile terminals may be received at an application server. Location information may include a cellular position and/or a Wi-Fi access point identifier. It is determined whether the first mobile terminal is in a same short-range wireless transmission area as the second mobile terminal based on a comparison of the first location information with the second location information. An instruction is sent to the first mobile terminal instructing the first mobile terminal to send a notification addressed to the second mobile terminal using a short-range wireless transmission protocol responsive to a determination that the first mobile terminal is in the same short-range wireless transmission area as the second mobile terminal.

Power efficient proximity detection

A method is disclosed of utilizing a plurality of Arithmetic Logic Units (ALUs) of an array processor. It is determined that a first quantity of the ALUs are scheduled to execute a function during a given processing cycle, with each ALU being scheduled to use a respective one of a plurality of selected input vectors as an input. It is also determined that a second quantity of the ALUs are not scheduled for use during the given processing cycle. A plurality of predicted future input vectors that differ from the plurality of selected input vectors are determined. The second quantity of ALUs are scheduled to execute the function during the given processing cycle using respective ones of the plurality of predicted future input vectors as inputs. After completion of the processing cycle, function outputs received from the first and second quantity of ALUs are cached.

Data speculation for array processors

A portable electronic equipment comprises a first sensor to record media and at least one second sensor to capture data representing a physical condition of a user of the portable electronic equipment, the at least one second sensor being configured to capture the data in response to the first sensor recording the media. A processing device is interfaced with the at least one second sensor. The processing device is configured to retrieve the data captured by the at least one second sensor, to generate metadata for the recorded media based on the data, the metadata being indicative of the physical condition, and to cause the metadata to be stored in association with the recorded media.

Portable electronic equipment and method of recording media using a portable electronic equipment

A system includes a processing logic and output logic. The processing logic is configured to receive information identifying points of interest, identify at least one of location or distance information from each of the points of interest to the system, and sort the points of interest based on the location or distance information. The output logic is configured to project information identifying the points of interest onto a surface, wherein the projected information is displayed in accordance with the sorting.

The invention is directed to systems, methods and computer program products for transferring content between electronic devices via skin input. An exemplary method includes detecting, by an interface device, an input received on a user's skin, wherein the interface device is in electronic communication with at least one of the first device or the second device; in response to detecting the input, determining the type of input; and at least one of: in response to determining the type of input is a first type of input, initiating transmission of content from the first device to the second device; or in response to determining the type of input is a second type of input, initiating reception of content at the second device.

Content transfer via skin input

The invention is directed to systems, methods and computer program products for providing focus control for an image-capturing device. An exemplary method includes capturing an image frame using an image-capturing device and recording video tracking data and gaze tracking data for one or more image frames following the captured image frame and/or for one or more images frames prior to the captured image frame. The exemplary method additionally includes calculating a focus distance and a depth of field based at least partially on the recorded video tracking data and recorded gaze tracking data. The exemplary method additionally includes displaying the captured image frame based on the calculated focus distance and the calculated depth of field.
