A vehicle controller controls a vehicle including an engine and an automatic transmission. The vehicle controller includes an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit estimates power generable by the engine based on a condition of the engine and a condition of the automatic transmission in a non-driving range, calculates a load on the automatic transmission in a driving range based on a condition of the automatic transmission in the driving range, determines whether a difference between the power and the load is equal to or smaller than a predetermined threshold by which an engine stall is identifiable, and limits a gear shift request from the non-driving range to the driving range when the difference is equal to or smaller than the predetermined threshold.

Vehicle controller and method of controlling vehicle

A vehicle control system is provided with a first driving force control means that controls a turning performance of a vehicle by controlling a driving force delivered from a prime mover to driving wheels so as to adjust the turning condition of the vehicle to an intended turning condition. The first driving force control means is configured to calculate a correction amount of the driving force required to adjust an actual turning condition of the vehicle to the intended turning condition, and to restrict the correction amount to zero or smaller so as not to increase the driving force if the correction amount is positive value.

Vehicle control system

A vehicle control system is provided to control driving force to improve turning performance in a vehicle having an automatic transmission without causing conflict with a shifting control of the transmission. The vehicle control system comprises: a shifting means that carries out a shifting operation of the transmission based on an execution condition including an execution threshold governed by a vehicle speed and an operating amount of an accelerator performed by a driver; a driving force controlling means that carries out a turning performance improving control for stabilizing a vehicle behavior by controlling a driving force during turning; and a shifting condition correcting means that corrects a value of the operating amount of the accelerator as the execution condition during execution of the turning performance improving control.

A windshield defroster assembly for a vehicle dashboard including a defroster outlet having a plate attached therein to control the direction of flow of the heated air. The plate is slanted to direct the flow of the heated air. The bottom edge of the plate remains underneath the bottom surface of the dashboard. Heated air hits the rear surface of the plate, and the blowing direction of the heated air follows along the rear surface of the plate. When the heated air is discharged from the defroster outlet, the heated air is concentrated on an area of the windshield thereby removing frost and moisture from the entire surface of the windshield. A top edge of the plate is disposed at most only slightly over a top surface of the dashboard, so that the plate does not prevent the driver from seeing outside of the vehicle through the windshield.
