A method, a computer program product, and a system for pre-pooling virtual machine components prior to application startup. The method includes reading a virtual machine pool manifest by a virtual machine pool manager. The virtual machine pool manifest includes an initial number of virtual machines to launch, how many virtual machines to allocate resources to, and an amount of resources to allocate based on a virtual machine resource definition. The method also includes launching a plurality of base virtual machines into a virtual machine pool and based on the initial number provided by the virtual machine pool manifest. The base virtual machines lack initial application assignments. The method further includes allocating initial resources to a portion of the base virtual machines based on a virtual machine resource definition in the virtual machine pool manifest. The method includes loading core program packages into the portion of the base virtual machines.

Pool management for in-vehicle device application startup

Provided are techniques for organizing a temporary device group for collaborative computing. A list of functions for each of a plurality of devices are stored. A determination is made to form a device group including a receiver device from the plurality of devices, where the receiver device will perform one of the functions. An individual function usage score is generated. In response to the individual function usage score exceeding a device threshold, a request to form a device group is sent to the receiver device. In response to receiving an indication of acceptance to form the device group from the receiving device, the device group is formed for a temporary period, where functions and data are shared in the device group.

Organizing a temporary device group for collaborative computing

A device and related method are associated with a focus vehicle. The device comprises a sensor that senses area information about an information area usable to assist the focus vehicle and an oncoming vehicle to pass each other, a transmitter that broadcasts the area information via a vehicle-to-vehicle network protocol, and a controller. The controller produces an assisting result from the area information and vehicle information related to the focus vehicle and the oncoming vehicle. The vehicle information includes first distance information of the focus vehicle from the information area, and second distance information of the oncoming vehicle from the information area. The device includes a display that displays virtual traffic information representing at least stopping and proceeding of the focus vehicle onto a windshield of the vehicle.

Intelligent vehicle pass-by information sharing

Confirming transmission of information in a web conference by determining a presenter of a web conference is providing speech to a second computing device based at least in part on a video data, converting the speech of the presenter to textual data, transmitting information of the second computing device to a third computing device of a participant, wherein the information of the second computing device includes the speech, the textual data, and images of a display of the second computing device, and determining a match level of the information of the second computing device and output information of the third computing device of the participant, wherein the output information of the third computing device correlates with the information of the second computing device.

Transmission confirmation in a remote conference

Message display control means updates and displays messages sequentially on a message list screen each time message receiving means receives a message. When input detection means detects a response message, identification means identifies the latest message at the time of detection and the response message. Response message sending means sends the response message as a response to the identified message to other participants upon completion of input of the response message. Therefore, even in the case where the message list screen is updated due to receiving the subsequent message during the input of the response message, the completed response message is able to be sent back to the response object message.

The method can include requesting and receiving external event determination, from at least one external source within a first surrounding area, based on the event. The method also includes generating an internal event determination based on the event and validating a validated event based on the both the external and internal event determinations. The method includes requesting and receiving external drive plan, from the external source within a second surrounding area, based on the validated event. The method also includes generating an internal drive plan, validating a validated drive plan based on the internal and external drive plans, and implementing the validated drive plan.

Adjusting inconsistencies and inaccuracies in location perception, one or more computer processors identify data indicating a location of a computing device; detect a subsequent computing device within a threshold proximity to the computing device; receive data indicating a location of the subsequent computing device; determine a first location reliability score for the identified data indicating the location of a computing device and a second location reliability score for the received data indicating the location of the subsequent computing device; calculate one or more location corrective parameters for the computing device based, at least in part, on the identified data indicating the location of the computing device, the received data indicating the location of the subsequent computing device, the first location reliability score, and the second location reliability score; adjust the data indicating the location of the computing device based on the calculated one or more location corrective parameters.

An approach is provided in which the approach identifies a set of active online meetings in which the approach identifies a set of active online meetings in which a user is participating. The approach dynamically computes an interest level of each of the set of active online meetings based on a set of user preferences to produce a set of interest levels corresponding to the set of active online meetings. The approach determines a priority order of the set of active online meetings based on the set of interest levels and presents the set of active online meetings to the user based on the determined priority order.

Providing cognition of multiple ongoing meetings in an online conference system

A method includes receiving a first signal originating from a first communication device located in a vehicle, the first signal indicating a requested product or service, a receiving time for the requested product or service, and a moving route of the vehicle, determining a receiving location of the requested product or service based on the receiving time and the moving route indicated by the first signal, and transmitting a second signal to a second communication device associated with the determined receiving location, the second signal indicating an instruction to prepare the requested product or service.

In one embodiment, in accordance with the present invention, a method, computer program product, and system for an in-vehicle content display using augmented reality. The method includes detecting a traffic signal. The method further includes, in response to detecting the traffic signal, calculating a safety degree of a vehicle. The method further includes calculating based on a position of the traffic signal, a display area for projecting content, in accordance with the safety degree onto a front glass of the vehicle. The method further includes determining whether to project content in the display area in accordance with the safety degree.

In-vehicle content display apparatus

Provided are techniques for delegating cloud-side roles to devices. Network quality information is received for a network from one or more devices. It is determined that the network is unavailable in an area from which the network quality information was received. For a new device, a trajectory path of the new device is predicted. It is determined that the new device is about to enter the area based on the trajectory path. One or more software modules and data are identified. The one or more software modules and the data are sent to the new device, wherein the new device executes the one or more software modules to generate one or more insights from the data.

Delegating cloud-side roles to devices

A device and related method are associated with a focus vehicle. The device comprises a sensor that senses area information about an information area usable to assist the focus vehicle and an oncoming vehicle to pass each other, and a transmitter that broadcasts the area information via a vehicle-to-vehicle network (V2VN) protocol. The device comprises a controller that is configured to collect, store, and share, via the V2VN, area information comprising passing information when on a narrow road, obstacle information when on a wide road, and passing obstacle information when on the narrow road. The device produces an assisting result from the area information and vehicle information related to the focus vehicle and the oncoming vehicle, and a display that displays virtual traffic information representing at least stopping and proceeding of the focus vehicle onto a windshield of the vehicle.

Embodiments generally relate to configuring an application for launching. In some embodiments, a method includes displaying on a display screen at least one application icon and a map. The method further includes receiving from a user a selection of the at least one application icon. The method further includes determining a placement region on the map to which the user can drag and drop the at least one application icon, wherein the determining of the placement region is based on a constraint condition. The method further includes indicating the placement region to the user as the user drags the at least one application icon onto the map. The method further includes enabling the user to drop the at least one application icon when the at least one application icon is over the placement region. The method further includes starting an application associated with the at least one application icon in response to the at least one application icon being dropped over the placement region and in response to a start condition being satisfied.

Configuring an application for launching

A contact state of a finger with respect to a first displayed object is detected. In response to detecting a double-click operation on the first displayed object at a first position in a depthwise direction, the first displayed object is moved onto a surface of a display screen of a three-dimensional (3-D) display. In response to detecting that the finger has moved from the contact state to a proximity state with respect to the first displayed object, a display position of the first displayed object is changed from the surface of the display screen to a depth position at which a second object is displayed at a nearest side in the depthwise direction among displayed objects. The second object remains displayed at the depth position beside the first object.
