A determining module configured to determine an operation mode of an electronic device determines the operation mode as a cursor display mode in which a display region displays a cursor when a detecting module detects a first manipulation through a manipulator over the display region. In a case where the operation mode is the cursor display mode, a display module moves the cursor in the display region in response to movement of the manipulator in the display region detected by the detecting module. In a case where the operation mode is the cursor display mode, a processing executing module executes processing related to a display target indicated by the cursor when the detecting module detects that the manipulator moves in the display region so as to indicate the display target by the cursor in the display region and then moves away from the display region.

At least one processor can detect a volume of a sound input to an upper microphone. The at least one processor can determine whether or not at least one of a sound emission hole for a rear speaker and a sound collection hole for the upper microphone is clogged, based on the detected volume. The storage unit registers a first voiceprint based on first voice corresponding to a first character string and a second voiceprint based on second voice corresponding to a second character string longer than the first character string. The at least one processor generates a third voiceprint from third voice input to the voice input unit after registration of the voiceprint in the storage unit, and makes a first comparison between the first voiceprint and the third voiceprint as first user authentication. The at least one processor generates a fourth voiceprint from fourth voice input to the voice input unit after the third voice, and makes a second comparison between the second voiceprint and the fourth voiceprint, when the first user authentication has failed.

An operation of one or more hard keys is detected, and measuring an operation time is started in response to detecting the operation. In a case that the lock state is set, a lock screen including a lock object is displayed on the display. Upon receipt of a mail, notification information of a newly-arrived mail is recorded in a notification table and the notification information of the newly-arrived mail is displayed in a notification area of the lock screen. If a user performs a sliding operation after touching the lock object, and then releases from the lock object within the notification area, the lock state is canceled, and a mail function is performed such that the above-described newly-arrived mail is displayed.
