In one aspect, a wireless device receives a scheduling grant and a grant confirmation signal indicating that a network node has performed a CCA on a carrier and is releasing the carrier for the wireless device. An uplink message is transmitted on the carrier without performing a CCA on the carrier. In another aspect, a wireless device is connected to a first cell and a second cell configured on a carrier requiring an LBT protocol. The wireless device receives configuration messages indicating that downlink transmissions on the second cell are to be scheduled. This can mean self-scheduling for downlink on the second cell and cross-carrier scheduling for uplink on the first cell. The wireless device receives a scheduling grant in the first cell and performs a CCA in the second cell. The wireless device then transmits an uplink message responsive to success of the CCA.

Scheduling in license assisted access

A wireless device () and a method for enabling access to a radio network node () as well as a radio network node () and a method for enabling the wireless device () to enable access to the radio network node () are disclosed. The wireless device () supports a first transmission bandwidth. The radio network node () operates a carrier on a second transmission bandwidth. Network nodes and methods for enabling access to a radio network node

A method, network node and wireless device for fractional reuse of resources with flexible energy detection in unlicensed spectrum are disclosed. According to one aspect, a method in a network node includes associating each of a plurality of sets of resources within a cell with a different energy detection (ED) threshold, the resources in each set of the plurality of sets of resources being at least one of time resources and frequency resources. The method also includes assigning each set of resources of the plurality of sets of resources to a different set of a plurality of sets of wireless devices (WDs).

Fractional reuse of resources with flexible energy detection in unlicensed spectrum

Embodiments herein relate to a method performed by a user equipment, UE (), for communicating in a wireless communication network. The UE () receives a wake-up signal with a multibit indication from a radio network node (), wherein the multibit indication comprises a first bit indicating to start or not to start, for a first cell, an on-duration timer at one or more of the next occurrence of an on-duration, and a second bit indicating to apply dormancy or non-dormancy behavior on a second cell at the next occurrence of an on-duration for the second cell. The UE () further performs an action related to the wake-up signal taking the received multibit indication into account.

Radio network node, user equipment and methods performed in a wireless communication network

The scheduling flexibility of CSI reference signals enables time and frequency synchronization using multiple non-zero CSI-RSs transmitted in the same subframe, or using CSI-RSs transmitted in the same subframe with other synchronization signals. Also, multiple synchronization signals may be scheduled in the same subframe to enable fine time and frequency synchronization without cell-specific reference signals.

A method and apparatus are disclosed for configured grant uplink control information (UCI) mapping rules. In one embodiment, a network node is configured to transmit downlink control information for a configured grant physical uplink shared channel, CG-PUSCH; and receive configured grant uplink control information, CG-UCI, on the CG-PUSCH, the CG-UCI being mapped to the CG-PUSCH based at least in part on a presence of at least one Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest-acknowledgement, HARQ-ACK. Embodiments include methods for a master node (MN) configured to provide a master cell group (MCG) in dual connectivity (DC) with a user equipment (UE) together with a secondary node (SN) configured to provide a secondary cell group (SCG). According to certain embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device comprises determining a subset of a set of control channel elements (CCEs) to monitor within one or more frequency domain monitoring occasions. In one embodiment, a method implemented in a radio node includes determining a maximum channel occupancy time (MCOT) value; and listen-before-talk (LBT) parameter settings, the MCOT value and/or the LBT parameter settings for one or more LBT parameters depending on an energy detection (ED) threshold value used to access a channel in an unlicensed spectrum; and performing a LBT procedure to gain access to the channel and a transmission on the channel according to the LBT parameter settings and the MCOT value. In one embodiment, a method in a network node includes configuring a wireless device with a MCOT value and LBT parameter settings, the MCOT value and/or LBT parameter settings depending on an ED threshold value used at the wireless device to access the channel.

Flexible energy detection in unlicensed spectrum

There is disclosed a method of operating a user equipment in a radio access network, the user equipment being configured with a transmission resource pool. The transmission resource pool includes resources for transmission of response control signaling by the user equipment.
