Cylinder heads (toare respectively provided with fuel injectors (to). Each of the fuel injectors () is connected to each of joints (to) in a common rail () extending linearly through fuel injection pipes (to). In this example, it can be achieved to allow all the fuel injection pipes (to) to have the same length by crossing the injection pipes (and) to connect. With this configuration, it is possible to reduce the irregularities in the amount of fuel injection and to enhance the engine performance.

A fuel piping structure for a diesel engine, which is capable of cooling fuel which is flowing through a fuel circuit, especially, through a fuel return circuit, and capable of making the fuel circuit compact in size, is provided. For this purpose, in the fuel piping structure for the diesel engine in which the fuel circuit is provided between a fuel tank ( ) and fuel injection nozzles ( ) each for each cylinder head ( ), a part of the fuel circuit is formed inside an intake manifold ( ).
