Provided are a filament having, after a water absorption treatment, a high maintenance rate of linear strength and a high maintenance rate of knot strength, and a fishing line. The filament contains a polyamide resin (A), and the polyamide resin (A) is constituted from a constituent unit derived from a diamine and a constituent unit derived from a dicarboxylic acid, and 70 mol % or more of the constituent units derived from a diamine are derived from xylylene diamine, and 70 mol % or more of the constituent units derived from a dicarboxylic acid are derived from an α,ω-linear aliphatic dicarboxylic acid having from 11 to 14 carbons.

To provide a polyamide resin composition preventing mold fouling during molding and capable of producing a molded product with an excellent color tone, as well as a molded product, a method for producing a molded product, and an antioxidant. The composition is a resin composition containing: a polyamide resin constituted of diamine-derived constituent units and dicarboxylic acid-derived constituent units, 70 mol % or more of the diamine-derived constituent units being derived from a compound represented by Formula (1), and 70 mol % or more of the dicarboxylic acid-derived constituent units being derived from an α,ω-linear aliphatic dicarboxylic acid having from 8 to 12 carbon atoms; and a compound represented by Formula (1), where Rand Reach independently represent an alkyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and n1 and n2 are each independently an integer from 0 to 4, wherein a content of the compound represented by Formula (1) is from 3 to 100 mass ppm of the resin composition.

Resin composition, molded product, method for producing molded product, and antioxidant

Provided is an amorphous polyamide resin that has a small weight change rate under hot and humid conditions and that can maintain a good appearance even when formed into a molded article and placed under hot and humid conditions. Also provided is a molded article including the amorphous polyamide resin. An amorphous polyamide resin includes: constituent units derived from a diamine and constituent units derived from a dicarboxylic acid, not less than 70 mol % of the constituent units derived from a diamine being constituent units derived from isophoronediamine, the constituent units derived from a dicarboxylic acid including constituent units derived from an &#x3b1;,&#x3c9;-straight chain aliphatic dicarboxylic acid having from 8 to 14 carbons and constituent units derived from an aromatic dicarboxylic acid.

Amorphous polyamide resin and molded article

There is provided a low-viscosity resin composition having high mechanical strength when formed into a molded article and having excellent fluidity, and a molded article formed from the resin composition. The resin composition includes a first polyamide resin and a second polyamide resin, the first polyamide resin being an amorphous polyamide resin in which 70 mol % or more of a structural unit derived from a diamine is a structural unit derived from isophorone diamine and a structural unit derived from dicarboxylic acid includes a structural unit derived from an &#x3b1;,&#x3c9;-linear aliphatic dicarboxylic acid having from 8 to 14 carbon atoms and a structural unit derived from an aromatic dicarboxylic acid, the second polyamide resin being an amorphous polyamide resin in which at least one type of the structural unit is a structural unit including two or more alicyclic structures, and the mass ratio of the second polyamide resin to the sum of the first polyamide resin and the second polyamide resin being from 10 to 90% by mass.

Polyamide resin composition, molded article, and method for manufacturing polyamide resin pellet

Provided is a polyamide resin having high heat resistance, excellent moldability and excellent mechanical properties. The polyamide resin comprises a diamine unit containing 70 mol % or more of a xylylenediamine unit and a dicarboxylic acid unit containing 70 mol % or more of a straight chain aliphatic dicarboxylic acid unit, wherein the xylylenediamine unit is composed of 50 to 95 mol % of p-xylylenediamine and 50 to 5 mol % of m-xylylenediamine; the straight chain aliphatic dicarboxylic acid unit is composed of 50 to 100 mol % of adipic acid and 0 to less than 50 mol % of sebacic acid or other straight chain aliphatic dicarboxylic acids; the molar ratio of reacted diamine units to reacted dicarboxylic acid units (the number of moles of reacted diamine units/the number of moles of reacted dicarboxylic acid units) is less than 0.994; and the polyamide resin has a number average molecular weight of 10,000 to 25,000 and a melting point of 285&#xb0; C. or more.
