The present invention relates to organoids derived from a single cell, such as a kidney cancer cell, and methods and compositions relating to the production and use thereof, including cell culture medium for producing organoids and methods of personalized treatment for kidney cancer. The invention further provides a humanized mouse including a kidney organoid derived from a patient's kidney cell.

Single kidney cell-derived organoids

An expandable array and methods of maintaining a biological sample within an expandable array are provided. The expandable array includes a plurality of receptacles configured to receive a biological sample and a plurality of beams comprising a programmable material. Each beam of the plurality of beams is located between and connects at least two receptacles. The programmable material can be a shape-memory polymer or a magnetoactive material that transitions the plurality of beams from an extended state to a contracted state upon application of a stimulus.

Expandable arrays and methods of use

The present invention relates to organoids derived from a single cell, such as a prostate cancer cell, and methods and compositions relating to the production and use thereof, including cell culture medium for producing organoids and methods of personalized treatment for prostate cancer. The invention further provides a humanized mouse comprising a prostate organoid derived from a patient's prostate cell.

Single cell-derived organoids

The invention provides a compound of formula I: or a salt thereof, wherein R-Rand p have any of the values described in the specification, as well as compositions comprising a compound of formula I. The compounds are useful as anti-cancer agents.

Therapeutic compounds

A method for isolating and processing bone marrow derived stem cells, including the steps of: (a) collecting a biological sample containing adherent bone marrow stem cells in a receptacle with interior walls coated with a cell-adherent substrate; (b) incubating the bone marrow cells on the adherent substrate so that a layer of adherent bone marrow stem cells adheres to the substrate; (c) washing any non-adherent cells from the substrate; and (d) collecting the bone marrow stem cell layer. Isolation kits and use of bone marrow cells harvested for cell therapies are also described.

Closed system separation of adherent bone marrow stem cells for regenerative medicine applications

A method for treating a degenerative or traumatic injury to a nerve tissue or the brain by administering at or near the injury site a composition containing adherent bone marrow stem cells suspended in a pharmaceutically acceptable liquid in an amount effective to elicit axonal regeneration or re-myelination at the site of injury.
