A control system for an electric motor comprises a controller which receives as an input a demanded motor current and produces at an output an intermediate voltage demand signal, a voltage demand signal correction means arranged to generate a voltage demand correction signal, and a combining means arranged to combine the intermediate voltage demand signal and the voltage demand correction signal to produce an actual voltage demand signal that is applied to the motor by pulse width modulation of the switches of a motor bridge driver. The correction signal compensates for unwanted non-linearities caused by interlock delays in the switching of the motor bridge switches.

Operating an asynchronous machine includes: closed loop control of a first and a second three-phase winding by a first and a second closed loop control method, respectively. The second closed loop control method supplies a voltage vector to a second inverter device, and changes from the first closed loop control method to a first open loop control method. The first open loop control method includes supplying a first reference current vector to a first filter device, supplying a filtered first reference current vector to a calculation device for calculating an electrical angle, supplying the electrical angle to a first transformation device for transforming a first open loop control deviation vector, transforming a first open loop control deviation vector into a third voltage vector, and supplying the third voltage vector to the first inverter device for the operation of the first three-phase winding.

Method, computer program product and system for operating an asynchronous machine

A method for monitoring a PSM machine having three phases including detecting whether one or more current sensors disposed on a phase of the machine has malfunctioned. If a malfunction is detected, a voltage indicator is calculated from a voltage amplitude and a voltage phase of an input voltage of the machine in a d, q-coordinate system by two different calculations. The first calculation includes calculating the input voltage based on a phase current, target currents, and an electrical angle of the machine. The second calculation includes calculating the input voltage based on target values of a reference voltage amplitude and a reference voltage phase. The method also includes determining the voltage amplitude and the voltage phase of the input voltage of the machine and comparing the values of the respective voltage amplitudes and voltage phases from the input voltage in the first and second calculations.

Arrangement and method for monitoring a PSM-machine

The present disclosure provides a method for monitoring a rotor position sensor of a PSM machine having at least three phases operated by a field oriented control, where the electrical angle of the PSM machine may corresponds with a rotor position. A first calculation of the electrical angle of the PSM machine may be based on a measured mechanical rotor position and the pole-pair number of the PSM machine. A second calculation of the electrical angle of the PSM machine may be based on the phase of a phase current indicator and regulated target currents in the d,q-coordinate system. The method may include a comparison of the values of the respective electrical angles of the PSM machine determined by the first calculation and the second calculation.

Method and arrangement for monitoring a permanently excited synchronous machine

Embodiments relate to a processor for controlling an emergency operation of a multiphase induction machine upon an interruption of a first phase current of a first phase of the induction machine. The processor is designed to determine a control current setting, corresponding to the emergency operation, for a second phase of the induction machine in a coordinate system fixed to the stator through a combination of a first target current setting, corresponding to a normal operation of the electric engine, for the first phase and a second target current setting for the second phase in a coordinate system fixed to the stator. This distinguishes a phase angle and an amplitude of the control current setting for the second phase from a phase angle and an amplitude of the second target current setting.
