A system () for monitoring living beings, such as persons, pets or livestock comprises a monitoring device () for monitoring a living being and a user device (), such as a smartphone, which devices are arranged for communicating via an internet type connection (), and a server () arranged for communicating with the user device () via a further internet type connection ().
