A method of placing a slurry stream comprising dry friction reducer (DFR) into a subterranean formation comprising: forming a slurry comprising an aqueous-based fluid and a proppant by introducing a dry material comprising the proppant and the aqueous-based fluid into a blender; forming a DFR slurry stream comprising DFR; and introducing the DFR slurry stream into the formation, wherein forming the DFR slurry stream comprises: forming a DFR concentrate; adding the DFR concentrate into the slurry in the blender at a location within the blender distant a location at which the dry material is added thereto, and removing the DFR slurry stream from the blender; forming a DFR concentrate, removing a slurry stream from the blender, and adding the DFR concentrate into the slurry stream to provide the DFR slurry stream; and/or introducing dry, powdered DFR into the blender and removing the DFR slurry stream from the blender.

In some aspects, sand stabilization treatments are analyzed. A computing system can determine a first predicted resource production output for a subterranean reservoir based on a sand stability model analysis for a native condition of the subterranean reservoir. The computing system can determine a second predicted resource production output for the subterranean reservoir based on a sand stability model analysis for a stabilization-treated condition of the subterranean reservoir. The computing system can output an economic value comparison of resource production for the native condition and the stabilization-treated condition based on the first and second predicted resource production outputs.

Analyzing sand stabilization treatments

Assemblies, systems, and methods to facilitate gravel packing of a wellbore having a flow restricting device are described. The assemblies, systems, and methods can include a flow restricting device and an alternative-path gravel packing system to provide a gravel pack about the flow restricting device. The assemblies, systems, and methods can allow uniform and complete annular sand control pack placement together with reduced flow of unwanted fluids.

Systems and methods for gravel packing wells

Presented is a method of completing a subterranean well having an open wellbore extending through a subterranean formation having a target zone. In a preferred embodiment, a tubing assembly is placed in the wellbore, extending through the target zone. An annular space is defined between the outer surface of the tubing assembly and the wellbore wall. A gravel pack is placed in the annular space along at least a length of the target zone. Then an annular barrier forming material is flowed into the annular space along at least a length of the target zone. Then the annular barrier forming material is 'set' to create an annular barrier in the annular space. The annular barrier forming material can be carried on the tubing assembly or pumped downhole. Flow restrictors, such as packers or a gravel pack, can be used to restrict flow of the annular barrier forming material to allow the material to set into an annular barrier.

Method and apparatus for creating an annular barrier in a subterranean wellbore

A well screen assembly with enhanced well treatment capabilities. A well screen assembly can include a well treatment substance secured to the well screen assembly, and at least one reactive component of a well treatment stimulant. The reactive component can also be secured to the well screen assembly. A method of treating a well can include expanding a well screen assembly outward in a wellbore of the well, thereby decreasing a distance between a well treatment substance and a wall of the wellbore. Another method of treating a well can include contacting multiple reactive components of a well treatment stimulant with each other in the well, thereby dispersing a well treatment substance about a well screen assembly.

Well screens having enhanced well treatment capabilities

An improved method for completing wells formed in both consolidated and unconsolidated formations is disclosed. Further, methods are disclosed for completing deviated wells formed in consolidated formations which require stimulation by hydraulic fracturing. The present invention specifically relates to more efficient, less expensive techniques for well completion comprising novel techniques for the utilization of permeably consolidatably, resin coated particulates.
