A metal material is placed on a lower mold of a press metal mold which has an upper mold and the lower mold not having engagement portions. The metal material is fused by a high energy heat source, and obtained molten metal over a melting point is pressed with the press metal mold and transformed into a predetermined configuration. The molten metal is cooled at a rate over a critical cooling rate simultaneously with or after the transformation, and the molded product of amorphous metal in predetermined configuration is obtained.

Molded product of amorphous metal and manufacturing method for the same

In a golf club head having a face body, the face body is composed of a hybrid of an amorphous phase layer and a crystal phase layer. The crystal phase layer is disposed on a reverse face side of a face. And, thickness of the face body is 0.5 mm to 5.0 mm, thickness of the amorphous phase layer is, on average in whole area of the face body, more than 50% of the thickness of the face body, and thickness of the crystal phase layer is arranged to be 0.01 mm to 3.0 mm.

A composite prepreg for producing a tennis racket, which is light and tough and superior in flexibility and vibration absorption abilities, comprises thermosetting resin and reinforcing fibers, wherein the reinforcing fibers are a combination of (a) aromatic polyamide or polyester fibers and (b) carbon fibers, the fibers (a) being formed into a first type of strand and the fibers (b) being formed into a second type of strand, the first and second types of strand being arranged with certain regularity. The present invention is also directed to a tennis racket comprising a circular frame constituting a ball hitting area and a shaft connecting with the circular frame, the frame and shaft having a plurality of layers structured so that at least one layer is formed from the above described composite prepreg.

Composite prepeg and tennis rackets using the same

Disclosed is a composite prepreg for producing a tennis racket which is light and tough and superior in flexibility and vibration absorption abilities.
