A movable body monitoring apparatus is configured to receive movement data related to movements of a movable body. The apparatus includes an acquiring unit, a memory, a detector, and a non-support managing unit. The acquiring unit acquires movement data on a non-support movable body from a support movable body. The memory stores and records the acquired movement data. The detector detects passing of a movable body from the host vehicle. The non-support managing unit manages the movement data on the non-support movable body recorded in the memory. When it is determined that the non-support movable body the movement data on which has been recorded in the memory has passed by based on detection data by the detection of the detector, the non-support managing unit invalidates or deletes the movement data on the non-support movable body from the memory on a movable-body by movable-body basis.

The data managing unit is configured to manage the record of the movement data in the memory. The data managing unit is configured to acquire a speed of each movable body that is obtained from the movement data recorded in the memory, and invalidate or delete the movement data recorded in the memory on a movable-body by movable-body basis in accordance with the acquired speed of the each movable body.

A movable body monitoring apparatus is mounted on a movable body and to receive movement data related to movements of other movable bodies. The apparatus includes an acquiring unit, a generator, a determining unit, and a monitoring unit. The acquiring unit acquires the movement data on the other movable bodies. The generator generates group information on a plurality of low-speed movable bodies which are determined based on actual speeds or types of the other movable bodies. The determining unit determines whether to generate the group information by the generator, in accordance with a travel environment. The monitoring unit collectively monitors movements of the plurality of low-speed movable bodies using the group information, when the group information is generated. The monitoring unit individually monitors the movements of the plurality of low-speed movable bodies, when the group information is not generated.

The apparatus includes an acquiring unit, a memory, and a data managing unit. The acquiring unit is configured to acquire the movement data on the other movable bodies. A movable body monitoring apparatus is configured to be mounted on a movable body and to receive movement data related to movements of other movable bodies. The apparatus includes an acquiring unit, a generator, and a monitoring unit. The acquiring unit is configured to acquire the movement data on the other movable bodies. The generator is configured to generate, for low-speed movable bodies that are determined based on an actual speed or a type of the other movable bodies, a monitoring curve that curves along positions of a plurality of low-speed movable bodies. The monitoring unit is configured to monitor movements of the plurality of low-speed movable bodies based on a movement of the generated monitoring curve.

A spot search device includes a device communication unit, a search unit, a generator unit, and a spot search unit. The device communication unit communicates with a server device on a network. The search unit searches over information on the network with the use of the device communication unit. The generator unit generates a genre regarding information on a spot included in a search history of the search unit. The spot search unit searches, over the information on the network, for information on one or more spots around a route of a vehicle, according to the genre generated by the generator unit, with the use of the search unit. The device communication unit transmits the information on the one or more spots around the route, together with information on the route, to an onboard navigation device installed on the vehicle.
