A temperature sensitive fluid type fan coupling apparatus obtains linear characteristics without spoiling the drag performance. The fan coupling apparatus has a sealed case divided by a partition into an oil reservoir chamber and a torque transfer chamber. A valve is adapted to open and close an outflow regulating port in the partition in accordance with external ambient temperature. A driving disk is in the torque transfer chamber, and the transfer of torque is controlled by increasing and decreasing an effective contact surface of the oil with the driving disk. An idle oil reservoir chamber is formed in a hollow inner portion of the driving disk. A communication port is made in a side wall of the oil reservoir chamber and communicates with the torque transfer clearance. The communication port is closer to an inner circumference of the torque transfer chamber.

Temperature sensitive fluid type fan coupling apparatus

A temperature sensitive fluid type fan coupling apparatus is provided which can prevent 'an accompanying rotation' phenomenon from being generated so as to reduce fan sound and improve fuel consumption. The fan coupling apparatus comprises a sealing device box including a cover and a case which is separated into an oil reserving chamber and a torque transmission chamber by a partition plate. A drive disc is fixed to a rotary shaft body and is disposed inside the torque transmission chamber to support the sealing device box. A circulating flow passage delivers oil from the torque transmission chamber to the oil reserving chamber. A valve member for opening and closing a supply hole communicating between the torque transmission chamber and the oil reserving chamber is provided so as to increase and reduce an effective contact area for the oil in the drive disc and torque transmission gap portion, thereby controlling a torque transmission to the side of the sealing device box driven by the rotary shaft body. Barrages for holding the oil, in the oil reserving chamber and not the torque transmission chamber, are provided on both sides of the supply hole, thereby preventing the 'accompanying rotation' phenomenon in the driven side of the sealing device box due to the excessive oil.

Bags having increased blocking resistance properties are formed of a film composed of a resin blend of a polyethylene (PE) resin and a polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) resin having an intrinsic viscosity or 0.7 of more. Preferably, the film is a multi-layer structure formed via coextrusion inflation molding techniques having inner and outer layers laminated to one another. The inner layer is a polyolefin, while the outer layer is composed of a PE/PBT blend, in which the PBT is present in an amount of between 5 to 30 wt. % based on the total weight of the resin composition and has a melt index of 0.7 or more. The thickness ratio of the internal layer to the external layer is preferably between 95/5 to 30/70.
