A light-emitting device having a first light-emitting layer with a first quantum dot having a first core part and a first shell part. The first shell part has a surface coated with a surfactant, and the first shell part has a thickness of 3 to 5 ML based on the constituent molecule of the first shell part. The light-emitting device also can have second light-emitting layer with a second quantum dot having a second core part and a second shell part. The second shell part has a surface coated with two types of hole-transporting and electron-transporting surfactants, and the second shell part has a thickness of less than 3 ML based on the constituent molecule of the second shell part.

Nanoparticle material and light-emitting device

A method for manufacturing a functional material including a porous metal complex with nanoparticles included therein, the method including a configuration of adding more than one particle constituent raw material constituting the nanoparticles and a porous metal complex to a solvent, and then synthesizing nanoparticles included in the porous metal complex by heating to a desired temperature. In addition, provided is an electronic component including an electronic component element using a functional material including a porous metal complex with nanoparticles included therein.

Method for manufacturing functional material and electronic component

Quantum dots (nanoparticle material) each having a core-shell structure including a core part and a shell part that protects the core part. The shell part of the quantum dot has a thickness T of 3 to 5 ML based on the constituent molecule of the shell part. A light-emitting device includes the quantum dots.

A light-emitting element where a positive electrode is formed on the surface of a transparent substrate; a hole transport layer is formed on the surface of the positive electrode; and a light-emitting layer made of quantum dots is formed on the surface of the hole transport layer. The light-emitting layer has a light-emitting region that emits light of a first predetermined wavelength in which a surfactant is present on the surface of the quantum dots and a non-light-emitting region that does not emit light in which a surfactant is absent on the surface of the quantum dots. A second light-emitting layer that emits light of a second predetermined wavelength is formed on the surface of the light-emitting layer, and a negative electrode is formed on the surface of the second light-emitting layer.
