A recording medium reproducing apparatus includes a mechanical deck, a lid body, a first moving member, a second moving member, and a synchronization member. The mechanical deck has one end turnably supported by a chassis and the other end having a recording medium insertion port. The lid body is movable between a lid close position and a lid open position. The first moving member turns the mechanical deck between a reproducing position and an ejection position. The second moving member moves the lid body from the lid close position to the lid open position. The synchronization member controls the first and second moving members in synchronization with each other such that the lid body is moved inside the housing by the second moving member and the mechanical deck is turned to the ejection position by the first moving member to allow the recording medium insertion port to be directed outwardly.

A disc changer apparatus includes a disc table, reproducing device, a first tray, a second tray, containing device, and movement device. The first tray carries a disc mounted thereon between a loading position at which a disc is loaded and a mounting position at which a disc is mounted on the disc table and between the disc mounting position and a containing position at which a disc is contained. The second tray is engaged with the first tray, to carry the first tray between the disc loading position and the disc mounting position. The containing device stacks and contains the first trays in a stacking direction substantially perpendicular to principal planes of discs mounted on the first trays. The moving device moves at least one of the first trays contained in the containing device in one direction based on the stacking direction, to form a containing space for containing the first tray located at the disc mounting position on the side, opposed to the side of the one direction, of the containing device.

Disc changer apparatus

Disclosed is a disk adapter for receiving a disk-type recording medium on an inner circumference side thereof, comprising: a main plate portion having a substantially arcuate shape of a central angle of 180&deg; or more; and a supporting portion formed on a half circumference side of the inner circumference of the main plate portion for supporting the disk-type recording medium mounted on the disk adapter. Consequently, mounting and removing operations of a disk-type recording medium onto and from the disk adapter are very simple.
