A seat position controller performs seat position change processing by performing longitudinal position change processing and at least one of vertical position change processing and tilt angle change processing. When the seat position controller performs the seat position change processing, a change degree setting part sets the degree of speed change in the longitudinal direction of a seat main body during the longitudinal position change processing smaller than the degree of speed change in the vertical direction of the seat main body during the vertical position change processing, and the degree of speed change in a tilt angle direction of a seat back during the tilt angle change processing.

A seat for vehicles includes: a seat back frame; and a pressure receiving member that is mounted on the seat back frame to support a back of an occupant. A seat main body is mounted on a seat mount base on a vehicle body floor through left and right seat rails. The seat mount base includes left and right side members and a connection member connecting substantially central portions of the side members to each other. The seat rails each include a lower rail and an upper rail. Force sensors are disposed between the side members and the corresponding lower rails. The upper rails are secured to the seat main body. A central region of the connection member, located substantially in a center in a seat width direction, protrudes toward the front compared to joining portions where the connection member is joined to the left and right side members. A vehicle seat of the present invention includes: a seatback frame which has side frame sections on both sides thereof in a seat width direction; a load transmission member which projects toward an outside in the seat width direction from one of the side frame sections and transmits an impact load input from a side of a vehicle body to the seatback frame; and a side airbag device which is provided with an inflator which generates a gas when the impact load is input and a folded bag body to be deployed when the pressure of the gas is received. The inflator is attached to the load transmission member or the side frame section, and the bag body is disposed at a position which is further outside than a gas discharge port of the inflator in the seat width direction and is opposed to a surface facing the vehicle front side of the load transmission member.

A seat back frame for a seat of a vehicle includes: a pair of side frames placed at a left side and a right side in a width direction of a seat; a head rest supporting frame supporting a head rest; a supporting plate, a both ends of the supporting plate being connected to a lower portion of each of the side frames; an upper opening provided above the supporting plate, the upper opening being opened in a front-rear direction; a planar elastic body provided across the upper opening; and a connection member elastically connecting a lower portion of the planar elastic body and an upper portion of the supporting plate.

A vehicle seat includes a pair of fixed lower rails fixed on the floor of a passenger compartment, a pair of movable upper rails that are engaged with the fixed lower rails so as to be slidable in a front-and-rear direction with respect to each of the fixed lower rails, a sub frame which is disposed at an upper side of the movable upper rails, load sensors and that lie between the sub frame and the movable upper rails, brackets and which are disposed so as to erect them on each of the movable upper rails, and a submarine pipewhich is crossed between the brackets. The submarine pipe is disposed to be slidable in a left-and-right direction with respect to the right bracket.
