In an outboard motor adapted to be mounted on a hull and equipped with an engine having a crankshaft located parallel with a gravity axis and a vertical shaft connected to the crankshaft to be rotated around the gravity axis, an urger is disposed at a position between the crankshaft and the vertical shaft to urge the crankshaft upward in a direction parallel with the gravity axis.

Outboard motor

An engine fuel feeding device that is small-sized and easy to start. A cutoff valve is disposed upstream from a primary regulator provided to a fuel passage from a fuel feeding source to an engine. The cutoff valve is provided integrally with the primary regulator. When the gas engine is stopped, the fuel feeding passage is blocked in front of the primary regulator, gas fuel does not flow in the downstream direction that includes the primary regulator, and the ability of the gas engine to start is enhanced.

Fuel feeding device for gas engine

In a multiple gas fuel delivery system for interchangeably supplying a plurality of gas fuels having different supply pressures to an internal combustion engine, at least a pair of fuel passages extend from a gas fuel inlet () to a fuel ejection nozzle () for delivering the gas fuel to a carburetor, and are provided with respective metering jets (). One of the fuel passages is provided with a pressure responsive valve () that communicates only the first metering jet () for delivering the fuel gas to the carburetor when a gas fuel of a relatively high pressure is used, and communicates both the first and second metering jets () for delivering the fuel gas to the carburetor when a gas fuel of a relatively low pressure is used. Therefore, a flow switching valve is not required, and the passage structure can be simplified. Also, the pressure responsive valve () is actuated by the pressure of the fuel, and no manual selection is required when a different gas fuel is selected.

Multiple gas fuel delivery system

A box-shaped intake silencer for an engine is obtained by joining together an upper half and a lower half. The intake silencer includes a connecting duct for supplying air to the engine and an intake duct for bringing in outside air. The intake silencer brings in a blow-by gas generated by the engine and returns fresh air purified by a filter to the engine. The filter is inserted into a retaining part made up of the upper and lower halve and held at the retaining pat by joining the upper and lower halves together.

An outboard engine assembly having a V-type multi-cylinder engine. A breather chamber is formed in a cam chamber of one row of a V-bank, and an oil separating chamber is formed in a cam chamber of the other row, with the cam chambers of two rows effectively utilized. Both the breather chamber and the oil separating chamber communicate with a crank chamber, with the breather chamber connected to an upstream side of a throttle valve unit. The oil separating chamber is connected to a downstream side of the throttle valve unit via a passage having a PCV valve.

An upper wall of a flywheel chamber ( ) accommodating the flywheel is made up of a bottom wall of a crank chamber made of a crankcase ( ), etc., and a bottom wall ( ) of the crankcase ( ) forming a front portion of the engine body ( ) has a return oil path formed forward of an inner circumferential wall surface ( ) of a circumferential wall ( ) of the flywheel chamber ( ) and having inflow openings ( ) through which lubricant oil flows from the crank chamber. Such outboard engine prevents output loss by preventing or minimizing lubricant oil staying in the crank chamber while the engine is driven in a tilt-up condition.

Outboard engine with improved oil return path

An outboard engine comprises an engine having a crankshaft ( ) extending vertically, a flywheel provided on the crankshaft ( ) below the engine body, an oil pump ( ), and a flywheel chamber ( ) defined by a pump body ( ) of the oil pump ( ) united to coupling walls of the engine body to accommodate the flywheel ; and a mount case ( ) having a support wall for uniting the engine body. The engine body is united with its coupling walls ( ) to the support wall ( ) via an outer circumferential wall ( ) of the pump body ( ) such that the coupling walls ( ), outer circumferential wall ( ) and support wall ( ) overlap in the direction of a rotation axis of the crankshaft ( ). Such outboard engine permits a connecting portion between the engine body and the mount case, which are united together via the oil pump body, to be decreased in size and weight.

A gas engine operated machine includes a machine unit that includes an engine burning a gas fuel, and a working device driven by the engine, the machine unit being surrounded by and fixed to a rigid frame formed by framing an elongated frame material, and an upper portion of the machine unit being covered with a roof, such that the operated machine is easy to handle and attractive in appearance, and it is possible to effectively avoid another object colliding against piping parts such as a gas fuel pressure regulator and the like, or rain water, dust and the like striking against the piping parts, thereby stabilizing the operation of the piping parts and enhancing the durability of the piping parts. A roof includes an upper cover bulged upwards, and a lower cover mounted to a lower surface of the upper cover, and supported on a rigid frame through vibration-damping members. A gas fuel pressure regulator, a gas shut-off valve and a connecting pipe connecting the regulator and the shut-off valve in series to each other are mounted on an upper surface of the lower cover, so that they are covered with the upper cover.

Gas engine operated machine

A liquid cooled internal combustion engine, comprising: an integrally cast engine main body including a cylinder block, a cylinder head, and a crankcase skirt, a crankcase cover attached to an open end of the skirt to define a crankcase therein, a crankshaft extending vertically in the crankcase and rotatably supported by the skirt at its both ends, a camshaft rotatably supported by the cylinder head and extending in parallel with the crankshaft, a timing belt passed around pulleys mounted on lower ends of the camshaft and the crankshaft, respectively, and extending in a belt chamber defined in the cylinder block along a lower side of the cylinder bore; a cooling liquid jacket defined in the cylinder block along upper and lateral sides of the cylinder bore. The jacket may be formed during the casting process by pulling a core either upwards or toward the open end of the skirt. The cooling liquid may consist of the lubricating oil for the engine. Thus, a jacket for the cooling liquid can be formed without requiring its cylinder head to be cast separately from its cylinder block, and the rigidity of the part of the cylinder block adjoining its cylinder head can be increased without increasing its wall thickness. Also, a compact design of the engine is made possible, and the process of fabricating the engine can be simplified.

Liquid cooled internal combustion engine

A cooling structure for cooling a liquid-cooled engine has engine cooling passages defined in portions of the engine for circulating a cooling medium therethrough. The cooling structure further includes a rotatable assembly having a rotatable element located outside of the engine, and a radiation passage system of a prescribed length disposed in the rotatable element for rotation therewith and connected to the engine cooling passages.
