A steering-angle control apparatus controls a steering mechanism based on a state command value, which is input in each predetermined period. An interpolation unit interpolates between a previous value and a current value of the input state command value to compute a state interpolation value in an interpolation period, which is shorter than the predetermined period. An interpolation-value determination unit determines whether the state interpolation value is an abnormal value. A control unit controls the steering mechanism based on the state interpolation value computed by the interpolation unit when the interpolation-value determination unit determines that the state interpolation value is not an abnormal value, and controls the steering mechanism based on the current value of the state command value when the interpolation-value determination unit determines that the state interpolation value is an abnormal value.

Steering-angle control apparatus

A rotation detector has a first controller that monitors abnormality of a rotation number calculated by a rotation number calculator based on the calculated rotation number and a preset rotation angle. The first controller in a first system is configured to output rotation information calculated by a second controller in a second system upon having determination that the rotation number of the first system has abnormality, for a continuation of the rotation information calculation.

Rotation detector and steering system

A control unit determines a presence or absence of a short-circuit failure with respect to a target switch which is a phase-opening switch to be determined. At this time, after opening all the phase opening switches, the control unit drives an inverter to connect a power supply line provided with the target switch among the phase opening switches to ground. The control unit determines that the target switch has a short-circuit failure when a voltage of the power supply line in which the target switch is not provided is smaller than a predetermined voltage.

Motor driving device and steering system

A motor controller for controlling a motor includes first and second angle sensors detecting motor rotation, and first and second detection circuits detecting rotation number information based on sensor output from the angle sensors. Further, the motor controller includes a steer angle information obtainer obtaining steer angle information involving steering of a vehicle from an external sensor, which is different from the angle sensors, and an abnormality determiner determining abnormality of information that has a matching degree of lower than a preset value when post-conversion information, or value measured by the same characteristics. This information is compared with each other after conversion from the rotation number information and from the steer angle information, and is used by a control amount calculator to calculate a control amount of the motor based on the information determined as having no abnormality by the abnormality determiner.

Motor controller and motor control system having same

A rotation detection device includes a plurality of detectors each including a plurality of calculators respectively calculating a detection value. A control unit of the rotation detection device monitors abnormality of detection values respectively detected by the plurality of detectors, and, when determining abnormality, identifies a calculator calculating an abnormal detection value based on a result of comparison between the detection values of the plurality of calculators. Then, the control unit continues calculation of an absolute angle by using the detection values from the calculators other than the identified calculator.

Rotation detection device and steering system

A steering system in a vehicle includes a plurality of subsystems provided with a control unit. The control unit includes a storage unit storing steer angle information regarding a steer angle of one of a steering mechanism and a steered mechanism when the steering mechanism or the steered mechanism stops, an abnormality determiner determining abnormality of the motor rotation detection value and the detection circuit in the plurality of subsystems at a start time of a motor based on a comparison of at least two parameters, and a steer angle calculator calculating the steer angle based on the parameters having been determined by the abnormality determiner as not abnormal.

Vehicle power steering system

A motor controller for driving an interior permanent magnet (IPM) motor has a current feedback control unit that calculates a q-axis current restriction value based on a dq-axis voltage instruction value and a dq-axis current detection value, so that a power source current flowing in an inverter circuit is controlled to be equal to or lower than a target power source current. Provided that a torque current proportional to an output torque of the motor is defined as a torque current, a torque current converter converts the q-axis current restriction value to a torque current restriction value by using a d-axis current detection value. A torque current instruction value restrictor restricts a torque current instruction value with the torque current restriction value. A dq-axis current converter converts a post-restriction torque current instruction value to a d-axis current instruction value and a q-axis current restriction value.

Motor controller and electric power steering device having same

A motor control device of an electric motor includes: a board with a heat sink; multiple switching elements; a drive circuit IC; a control circuit IC; first and second temperature sensors; a temperature information processing unit; and an abnormality determination unit. An out-of-normal-range state is a state where a temperature deviation exceeds a normal deviation threshold, and it is impossible to determine which one of the first and second temperature sensors is abnormal. When both sensors are normal, the temperature information processing unit uses one of first and second detected temperatures. When one sensor is abnormal and the other is normal, the temperature information processing unit uses one of the first and second detected temperatures of a normal sensor. When both sensors fall in the out-of-normal-range state, the temperature information processing unit uses one of the first and second detected temperatures which meets a predetermined condition.

Motor control device

In an electric power steering system, a motor outputs, based on an AC voltage controlled by switching elements using a power-supply voltage from a power source, assist torque for assisting a driver's turning effort of a steering member. A voltage monitor monitors the power-supply voltage, and a determiner determines whether the power-supply voltage is lower than an assistive voltage. The assistive voltage is defined as a voltage that enables the motor to output the assist torque. A temperature detector detects a temperature of each switching element. A motor control unit determines whether the temperature of each switching element is lower than a heat-resistant temperature of the corresponding switching element. The motor control unit controls a motor current when it is determined that the power-supply voltage is lower than the assistive voltage, and the temperature of at least one switching element is lower than the heat-resistant temperature.

Electric power steering system

In an apparatus, an execution determiner determines, for each of sequential first and second motor control cycles, whether to execute a voltage correction task for a voltage command, and obtains, for each of the first and second motor control cycles, a voltage correction as a function of a fundamental voltage correction and the determination result. A voltage corrector corrects, for each of the first and second motor control cycles, the voltage command based on the voltage correction. A correction voltage feedback unit feeds back a value of the voltage correction calculated at the first motor control cycle to a voltage command calculator. The voltage command calculator calculates a value of the voltage command for the second motor control cycle based on the value of the voltage correction fed back from the correction voltage feedback unit in addition to a value of the motor current parameter and a predetermined current command.

Motor control apparatus and electric power steering system

A motor control device for a motor includes: an inverter circuit supplying power of a battery to the motor; an inverter input voltage detector detecting an inverter input voltage; and a controller including a drive controller for the motor and an abnormality determination unit for determining power feeding abnormality. The abnormality determination unit determines the power feeding abnormality when the inverter input voltage is lower than a voltage threshold and a current from the battery to the inverter circuit is in a determinable range. The abnormality determination unit determines, based on a motor current electrically conducted to the motor or a rotational speed of the motor, whether the current is in the determinable range. A determination threshold in accordance with the determinable range is set that the inverter input voltage is equal to or higher than the voltage threshold when the power feeding region is normal.

Motor control device and electric power steering device including the same

In an apparatus, a motor current limit calculator calculates a motor current limit to which a motor current is to be limited. A motor current command calculator calculates a motor current command representing a target value for the motor current. A current command corrector corrects the motor current command as a function of the motor current limit. A motor voltage command calculator calculates a motor voltage command as a function of the corrected motor current command and the motor current, and feed back the motor voltage command to the motor current limit calculator. The motor voltage command represents a target value for a voltage of the output power applied to the motor. The motor current limit calculator calculates the motor current limit in accordance with the motor current, the converter current limit, and the motor voltage command fed back from the motor voltage command calculator.

Motor control apparatus and electronic power steering system

A motor control apparatus operates a power conversion circuit connected between a direct current power source and a motor, which performs mutual conversion between power at the direct current power source and power at the motor in response to a powering operation and a regenerative operation carried out by the motor. The motor control apparatus includes: a voltage command calculator that calculates a voltage command to the power conversion circuit; a suppression gain calculator that calculates a suppression gain such that an absolute value of an estimation value of a power source current or an absolute value of a detection value of the power source current is not more than a target value; and a voltage command suppressor that suppresses a voltage command by multiplying the suppression gain to the voltage command calculated by the voltage command calculator. Additionally, the suppression gain is within a range of 0 to 1.

Motor control apparatus

A booster circuit of a motor drive apparatus has at least two sub-booster circuits connected in series. Each sub-booster circuit includes a booster coil, a boosting switching element, a reducing switching element and an output capacitor, and outputs, by boosting an input voltage, a boosted output voltage. The booster circuitoutputs from its final stage sub-booster circuit a booster output voltage, a total boosting ratio of which is a product of sub-boosting ratios of the series-connected sub-booster circuits. Thus, the booster output voltage supplied to a motor drive circuit is prevented from falling even when high power output is required.

Motor drive apparatus and electric power steering system using the same

An annular groove portion is formed between portions corresponding to groove portions and thereafter the groove portions are formed while the annular groove is pressed. Consequently, since the stress produced due to a plastic deformation in forming the groove portions can be absorbed by the annular groove having a smaller rigidity than the groove portions, no undesirable plastic deformation of the groove portions occurs and hence the accuracy of the finished size of the multi-stage pulley can be improved. Furthermore, the capital investment in groove forming rollers can be reduced and the manufacturing cost of the multi-stage pulley can be reduced.
