A medical irradiation apparatus comprising a main body, a luminous body comprised of a light emitting element provided in a light outlet of the main body, an annular reflective member with a reflective surface provided at the circumference of the luminous body, the reflective surface reflecting the light from the luminous body forward, and a lens member provided so as to cover a forward opening of the reflective member, the lens member refracting and transmitting the direct light from the luminous body and the light reflected from the reflective member. According to the apparatus, all the outgoing light from the lens member is emitted so as to direct into a specified irradiation area.

Medical irradiation apparatus

An air turbine handpiece comprises a grip portion and a head portion disposed at a tip of the grip portion. In the handpiece, a rotor is disposed in a chamber in the head portion, and a cutting tool is detachably attached to a rotation shaft which is rotated integrally with the rotor. A nozzle opening for injecting air toward a turbine blade portion and an exhaust opening for exhausting the injected air to the outside are opened to the chamber of the head portion. An arc width of the nozzle opening in a circumferential direction is two or more times a height in a direction of a rotation axis of the rotor. The nozzle opening is formed so as to extend in a width direction.

A dental cutting tool holder which prevents the occurrence of sliding between the cutting tool and collet chuck at high-speed rotation, and prevents dislocation of the cutting tool securely, comprising a collet chuck into which a dental cutting tool is inserted detachably, and which comprises a right cylindrical section and a plurality of arc-section segments which are contiguous to the cylindrical section and divided in a circumferential direction; a rotor into which the collet chuck is inserted, and which is driven for rotation around the axis of rotation together with the collet chuck; and a clamping member which intervenes between the collet chuck and the rotor to press the respective segments inward in a radial direction by its displacement toward one end of the axis relative to the collet chuck while releasing the inward, radially pressed condition by its displacement toward the other end of the axis. The respective segments are formed with recess sections and an axially extending protrusion section.

A chuck device for a dental handpiece comprising fixedly mounting a front collar inside a rotor at the end thereof for the dental handpiece and threadedly and detachably fixing a cartridge chuck behind said front collar inside of said rotor, said cartridge chuck comprising a substantially cylindrical chuck case provided at the rear end with an engagement portion for detachably connecting a cutting tool thereto, a synthetic rubber chuck body press inserted into the end side of said case, and a rear collar fixedly mounted behind said chuck body inside said case.

Chuck device for dental handpiece

A method of lubricating a dental hand-piece wherein a small-sized lubricating oil sealed oiler is detachably mounted in a position adjacent to the rotor side of a rotor driving air passageway of a dental hand-piece device, the lubricating oil from said oiler is continuously mixed into rotor driving air to atomize said oil by utilizing the pressure and flow rate of said rotor driving air when said hand-piece is in use, and the mist oil thus obtained is supplied together with said air to said rotor to thereby continuously lubricate the rotor; and a novel small-sized oiler used in the method; are disclosed.

Method of lubricating dental hand-piece and small-sized oiler for use

A cartridge-type chuck for use in a dental handpiece wherein a substantially cylindrical cartridge case incorporates within itself at least a friction-type chuck body and a stopper provided with a square hole of a smaller diameter than the inner diameter of said chuck body, said cartridge case being formed at its front part into truncated cone by tapering the outer circumferential surface and is provided at its thickened rear part with a threaded interface on the circumference, is disclosed. This cartridge-type chuck is able to be loaded and unloaded for the purpose of replacing it with ease in relation to the rotor disposed in the inside of a dental hand-piece, into which the dental cutting tool can be inserted by a single step, and whose holding power is strong enough to be free from occurrence of the center whirling of the spindle of said cutting tool.
