A packaging case which can store a plurality of stored items, enables the stored items to be individually removed, and prevents the occurrence of formation failures. First broken cut lines (perforations) extend from a first flat plate (a side plate) over one flat plate (side plate) neighboring the first flat plate (side plate), and form openings through which the stored items (cartridge containers) can be taken out individually. A second broken cut line (perforation) is formed at a joining portion between the first flat plate (side plate) and the one flat plate (side plate) neighboring the first flat plate (side plate).

After a roll supply carriage housing rolls in a light-shielded case is coupled to a film manufacturing apparatus, shutters are opened, and a roll retainer shaft and a roll loading shaft are connected to each other. A motor in a roll transferring apparatus is energized to transfer one of the rolls into the roll transferring apparatus. Then, a rotary table is turned to supply the transferred roll to a given region in the film manufacturing apparatus.

A cassette (110), to be loaded with a photo film strip, has a photo film passageway (119) through which a leader (123) of the photo film strip (23, 111) is drawn out of a cassette shell. On a spool (112) is retained a trailer (124) of the photo film strip. A loader apparatus has a light-tight dark compartment (147). A rotary barrel (163) is rotatable, and partially fitted in an opening formed in a downstream wall of the dark compartment. Two cassette holders (164, 165) are disposed on the barrel and in respective positions opposite about a rotational axis (163a) of the barrel, and hold the cassette removably. The barrel is rotated to move the cassette holders into and out of the dark compartment. The cassette is supplied to one of the cassette holders located outside the dark compartment. The trailer of the photo film strip is passed into the photo film passageway in the cassette in one of the cassette holders located inside the dark compartment. The trailer is retained on the spool as passed into the photo film passageway. The spool of the cassette is rotated in the dark compartment after retaining the trailer, for winding the photo film strip on the spool, to include the photo film strip into the cassette.

A cassette for containing photographic film has a spool which is provided with retaining claws for retaining a trailer of the photographic film. A cassette port communicates the spool chamber to the outside. To load the photographic film into a cassette, a loading apparatus picks up the trailer with an inserter jig. The inserter jig is passed through the passage port, and is brought to the spool so as to insert the trailer into the cassette shell. The trailer is retained on the spool with the retaining claws. The inserter jig is then drawn out of the cassette shell. Then the spool is rotated in order to wind the photographic film around the spool, fully into the cassette shell. To remove exposed photographic film from such a cassette, the photographic film is drawn and unwound. A separator jig, as passed through the passage port, is brought to the spool. The trailer is released from retention on the retaining claws by use of the separator jig. Then the photographic film is drawn out so as to separate the trailer from the spool.

A photographic film cassette, having a spool with a slit therein, in which a film trailer is anchored. Abutting walls are formed on the inside of the slit so as to receive the end of the film trailer, and transmit the rotation of the spool to the roll of film. The film trailer anchored on the spool core is guided by a guide portion on the spool core to be wound smoothly in contact with the surface of the spool core. In a preferred embodiment, the spool consists of two spool pieces. A shaft portion of the external spool piece is inserted in that of the internal spool piece. The film trailer is inserted and anchored between the shaft portions which are fitted together.

A ribbon adhering apparatus for a photographic film cassette has a turntable, which has holders fixed circumferentially at a regular pitch. Slidable supporters are mounted on the turntable in correspondence to the respective holders, at positions inward therefrom. Initially in rotation of the turntable, a cassette half of a film cassette is set on an empty holder. Ribbon web is lapped on to support surfaces of supporters arranged adjacently. The web is cut between the supporters to separate ribbons. Sucked and held on the supporter, the ribbon is then heated to activate hot-melt adhesive agent. By advancing the supporter to a holder corresponding thereto, the ribbon is pressed against the cassette half via the adhesive agent. The supporter then stops holding the ribbon. After cooling the adhesive agent, the supporter is withdrawn from the holder, from which the cassette half is removed.

A cap is mounted on an end of the hollow cylindrical shell while it is on the mandrel, and the cap is clinched to the hollow shell while the cap and the hollow shell are grasped from the outside.

This invention relates to a photographic film cartridge including a spool, a film wound into a roll on the spool with one end connected with the spool, and a cartridge case, the spool extending substantially coaxially with respect to the cartridge case and being carried at the opposite end portions by the opposite end walls of the cartridge case for rotation about the longitudinal axis of the spool, the cartridge case being provided with a film outlet through which the film is fed out and a shielding material on inner surfaces of the film outlet for keeping the interior of the cartridge case shielded from external light, characterized in that at least one adhesive material is provided for detachably adhering a winding of the roll of film to an adjacent winding of the roll of the film.
