An electric braking device generates a braking force at a wheel via application of a pressing force by a piston by linear motion of the piston in response to the transmission of a forward-direction rotational torque from an electric motor to a linear motion conversion mechanism. The electric braking device is provided with a one-way clutch that cuts off the transmission of a rotational torque between the electric motor and the linear motion conversion mechanism when applied with a rotational torque in a direction opposite to the forward direction and having a magnitude equal to or greater than a predetermined value.

Electric braking device

An electric brake device comprises a caliper holding braking members and having an electric motor attached thereto, a reduction mechanism for transmitting an input rotation of one input element thereof from the electric motor to two output elements thereof at reduced speeds, a rotation-linear motion converting mechanism for converting the rotation of one of the output elements into a linear motion of one of the braking members, and a thrust force support member connected to the other output element and screw-engaged with the caliper, wherein the rotation-linear motion converting mechanism is supported by the thrust force support member to be movable together in a thrust direction and is provided with rotation limiting portions for limiting the rotation in a reverse direction of the one output element to a predetermined range, and wherein the thrust force support member is set to be greater in resistance to operation than the rotation-linear motion converting mechanism.

Electric brake device

A braking device includes: an input member configured to interlock with a displacement of a brake pedal; an output member which is movable relatively to and independently of the input member and is configured to generate a fluid pressure in a master cylinder; a braking mechanism configured to exert a braking force on a wheel by the fluid pressure generated in the master cylinder; drive means configured to drive the output member independently of the input member; and a clutch mechanism which is provided between the input member and the output member and configured to engage the input member with the output member so as to allow the input and output members to uniformly move when the output member is not driven by the drive means, and to cancel the engagement between the input member and the output member when the output member is driven by the drive means.

Braking device

A motion control system is applied to a vehicle, which has front wheel side suspensions with an anti-dive geometry and rear wheel side suspensions with an anti-lift geometry. When abrupt steering operation is started from a straight-ahead driving state of the vehicle in a non-operating period of a brake pedal of the vehicle, a controller controls a hydraulic unit such that a brake force is applied to a radially outer one of front left and right wheels, which is located on an outer side in a radial direction of an arc of turn of the vehicle upon starting the steering operation, and also to a radially inner one of rear left and right wheels, which is located on an inner side in the radial direction of the arc of the turn for a predetermined short time period.

Motion control system for vehicle

A motion control system is applied to a vehicle, which has front wheel side suspensions with an anti-dive geometry and rear wheel side suspensions with an anti-lift geometry. A degree of an anti-lift effect of the anti-lift geometry is larger than a degree of an anti-dive effect of the anti-dive geometry. Normally, a controller controls a hydraulic unit such that a brake force distribution between front wheels and rear wheels during a braking-period is adjusted to a basic distribution. In contrast, in a state where abrupt application of brakes is started, the controller controls the hydraulic unit such that the brake force distribution is adjusted to a first distribution, at which a brake force respectively applied to the rear wheels is larger than that of the basic distribution only for a predetermined short time period upon starting of the application of the brakes.

A brake apparatus is provided for braking a vehicle wheel, and includes a brake member rotated integrally with the wheel, a friction member mounted on the vehicle to be in contact with the brake member, a rotation member rotated integrally with the wheel, an electric motor, and a differential shift device. A motion converter is provided for converting a rotating motion of the motor into a thrust motion of the friction member to be pressed onto the brake member. For example, one of three components of the differential shift device is movable in response to rotation of the rotation member, another one is movable in response to rotation of the electric motor, and the rest is movable in response to operation of the motion converter.

Brake apparatus for a vehicle

A motor driven brake apparatus is provided for braking a wheel mounted on a knuckle, and includes a brake member rotated integrally with the wheel, a friction member mounted on the knuckle to be capable of being in contact with the brake member, and an electric motor for driving the friction member toward the brake member to be in contact therewith. The motor is adapted to press the friction member onto the brake member to restrain the wheel from rotating. And, a motion converter is accommodated in an opening portion of the knuckle for converting rotating force of the motor into pressing force applied by the friction member onto the brake member. The motion converter is connected to the motor at a side thereof facing the vehicle body, and the motor is mounted on the knuckle.

Motor driven brake apparatus for a vehicle

The present invention provides an electric brake system in which an actual control variable in the electric brake when overshooting is generated is determined, and the target value is set to a maximum value of the actual control variable in the electric brake when overshooting is generated. Therefore, the target value and the actual control variable will be in agreement with each other before hunting to be generated after overshooting starts. Accordingly, the output of the electric brake is gradually stabilizing at the target value without an oscillation phenomenon as in a related art.

Electric brake system

A vehicular motor-driven brake apparatus includes an open circuit in which reciprocation of a master cylinder generating a brake pressure is caused by an actuator that operates according to a pedal operation amount, and brake fluid discharged from a wheel cylinder during pressure decrease is directly returned to a master reservoir subject to atmospheric pressure. A fluid amount replenishment control is executed during pressure increase of the master cylinder in which a master stroke is returned for only a predetermined time by operation of the actuator, and thus brake fluid is sucked up from the master reservoir to the master cylinder. Accordingly, when an ABS control continues for a long time period, even if the brake pedal is being depressed, reduced pressure brake fluid in the master cylinder is sucked up. Therefore, there is no limit to pressure decrease, and bottoming-out of the master cylinder does not occur.

Vehicular motor-driven brake device

In an electronic brake system, a brake pedal is operated by a driver according to a requisite braking force. Wheel cylinders equipped at respective vehicle wheels generate braking forces at the respective vehicle wheels. A master cylinder applies a brake fluid pressure to generate the respective wheel cylinder pressures. A pedal operation amount detection portion detects a stroke amount of the brake pedal. The brake pedal and the master cylinder are isolated from each other. The motor is driven based on the pedal operation amount detected by the pedal operation amount detection portion and then controls the brake fluid pressure.

Electronic brake system without pump unit

The present invention provides an electric brake system which detects the occurrence of overshooting, and corrects a feedback gain in the PID feedback control at overshooting. For example, it increases a differential gain Kd. Accordingly, a damping force increases from the time when the overshooting is determined, and after the overshooting, the output of an electric brake moderately decays to get closer to the target value with the passage of time.

A brake hydraulic pressure generator is proposed in which the brake stroke fluctuate less when the amount of brake fluid consumed in the wheel brakes fluctuates. Even when the brake pedal force is increased after the brake assisting force has reached its maximum, the reaction force to the pedal force as well as the master cylinder pressure increases corresponding to the increased pedal force. The brake hydraulic pressure generator has a control valve including a spool and a cylinder and adapted to control the hydraulic pressure in a dynamic pressure chamber to a value corresponding to the stroke of an input shaft. It further includes a pressure sensor, a solenoid valve and a fluid chamber. When the pressure sensor detects that the difference between the pressure in the dynamic pressure chamber and the pressure of the high pressure source is below a predetermined value, the solenoid valve is adapted to close, thereby checking relative movement between the master cylinder piston and the input shaft toward each other.

Brake hydraulic pressure generator

The brake control apparatus sets a target deceleration () in accordance with an amount of operation of the brake pedal. It calculates another target deceleration () on the basis of the target deceleration (). In this calculation, limit values of deceleration increasing and decreasing gradients with respect to the target deceleration () are set on the basis of the target deceleration (), and then the target deceleration () is obtained by correcting the target deceleration () on the basis of the established deceleration increasing and decreasing gradients. Accordingly, the deceleration increasing/decreasing gradient becomes small when braking is gentle. This makes it possible to curb an abrupt change in brake force to achieve smooth brake control. Further, the deceleration increasing/decreasing gradient becomes larger when braking is abrupt. Accordingly, it is possible to create a great change in brake force to provide a high response.

Brake control apparatus

A negative pressure type brake hydraulic pressure generating device is proposed in which the stroke on the operating side can be set independently of the stroke on the output side. A slide resistance imparting means is provided between the fixed shell and a piston having a built-in control valve introducing atmospheric air to cancel the slide resistance which is the cause of increased stroke hysteresis of the piston, i.e. the slide resistance applied to the piston at airtight seal portions between the power plate and the piston.
