An electrically powered reel for fishing is presented, which enables the operator to perform a series of sounding operations smoothly and quickly and has superior graspability and holdability as well. The electrically powered reel for fishing includes: a spool which is provided between left and right side plates and of a main body of the reel, and around which a fishing line is wound; a drive motor which is provided in the main body of the reel and rotates and drives the spool; and an operation member which adjusts a power of the drive motor. In addition, when a space between an operation portion of the operation member and an operation portion of a clutch-OFF switching member is connected by a virtual shortest straight line, each component member of the reel is arranged so as to avoid the virtual straight line.

Electric fishing reel

A weight piece () containing 15 wt. % or greater of iron and tungsten, and having a specific gravity of 9 or larger, larger than a material of a head body () made of steel or pure iron, is joined to the head body () by welding.

Golf club

An iron head for a golf club having a metallic head body provided with a hosel part and a plate-like face body welded to the head body and made of a metallic material different from the metal of the head body so as to define a cavity between the back portion of the head body and the rear face of the face body in a manner such that the cavity extends to a position remote from the periphery of the face body located on the side of the heel of the head body toward the heel, and that a receipt portion of the head body provided for receiving the rear face of the face body on the heel side has a length thereof extending along the periphery of the face body on the heel side and being equal to or less than one forth of the length of the periphery of the face body on the heel side.

A golf club head of the invention includes a head body formed by a hollow member, and a face member for forming a face. The face in which a thick-walled portion and a thin-walled portion are formed by forging a metal plate subjected to rolling.

Golf club head and method of manufacturing the same

A golf club head of the present invention. A cast head bodyis constituted by a hollow outer shell. Said hollow outer shell define a top portion, a sole portion, a heel wall, a toe portionand a face opening portion. A shaft securing portionis formed adjacent to the heel wall and extended from the top portion to the sole portion. And a first hollow portionis formed between the shaft securing portion and the heel wall of the head body.

A golf club includes a shaft and a head fixed to a forward end of the shaft. The said head has a recess formed in an upper surface of the head. The recess is not made to adhere to an outer circumferential surface of the shaft.

A tubular body comprises: rolled layers of prepreg formed of reinforcing fibers impregnated with synthetic resin, wherein a ratio of impregnation of synthetic resin contained in a skew fiber body layer on which fibers are arranged in a skew direction and also a ratio of impregnation of synthetic resin contained in an axial fiber body layer on which fibers are arranged in an axial direction are in a range from a value approximately not lower than 10 wt % to a value lower than 25 wt %, and a thin layer, the ratio of impregnation of synthetic resin of which is high, is provided between the skew fiber body layer and the axial fiber body layer. The specific strength and specific rigidity of the tubular body are high, and the tubular body is less susceptible to separation and damage of the fibers and layers even if an impact force is given to it.

Tubular body

A golf club head which can be reduced in its thickness with no fear of impairing the durability and strength of the club head. A face portion of the golf club head is configured such that the vertical dimension of the face portion is smaller than the horizontal dimension thereof, and the face portion is arranged so as to satisfy any of the following conditions: 1) the longitudinal direction of crystal grains of a material of the face portion is oriented in the vertical direction of the face portion; 2) the direction in which the material exhibits a large ductile amount at the time of breaking is oriented in said vertical direction; and 3) the direction in which the material exhibits a large ratio of ductility per unit length is oriented in said vertical direction.
