According to the charge control method of the present invention, as an electric storage means, a group of capacitors is used that includen (where n is an integer of 2 or more) electric double layer capacitors, from first ton-th electric double layer capacitors, having an equal electrostatic capacity, and that is configured such that adjacent electric double layer capacitors are connected either in series or in parallel by a switch and then-th electric double layer capacitor and the first electric double layer capacitor are connected in parallel by a switch. Among then capacitors Ci constituting the electric storage unit, adjacent capacitors are sequentially switched from a series connection to a parallel connection, or then-th capacitor Cn and the first capacitor Care switched to a parallel connection state, whereby variations in the inter-terminal voltages of the capacitors are suppressed.

Charge control method and discharge control method for electric storage apparatus

According to a charging system of this invention, an alternating current required for charging of an electric double layer capacitor of a storage device in the body may be transmitted from a feeding device outside the body through power receiving and power transmitting coils. The electric double layer capacitor may be charged in a contactless mode, without incising the body of the artificial organ user, while the storage device remains embedded in the body. The electric double layer capacitor may be charged reliably by avoiding a shortage of charging since the charge status of the electric double layer capacitor of the storage device is known during a charging operation.

In an electric power storage system according to the present invention, in the case of charging, a plurality of capacitors of each circuit block of the electric power storage system are switched to a serial connection to initiate the charging. When the output voltage of power storage means reaches the maximum input voltage of DC-AC conversion means, each capacitor of a number j of circuit blocks is switched to a parallel connection in order of higher block voltage. Also up to the time when the maximum input voltage is reached again, each capacitor of a number j of circuit blocks is switched to a parallel connection in order of higher block voltage. In the case of discharging, pluralities of capacitors of each circuit block of the electric power storage system are switched to a parallel connection to initiate the discharging. When the output voltage of power storage means reaches the minimum input voltage of DC-AC conversion means, each capacitor of a number k of circuit blocks is switched to a serial connection in order of higher block voltage. Also up to the time when the minimum input voltage is reached gain, each capacitor of a number k of circuit blocks is switched to a serial connection in order of higher block voltage. Accordingly, the electric power storage system is hardly affected by the capacitance error of the capacitors, and charging/discharging efficiency can be improved.

The planar light emission is mellow to the eye, which provides an improvement in design.
