A three-dimensional image capturing device is provided with a CCD which captures an image of a subject as image data and obtains the distance from the device to a point on a surface of the subject corresponding to each of the image data as distance measurement data. The device obtains the distance to the subject by emitting a light beam to the subject and performing a light emitting operation and electronic shuttering operation of the CCD in tandem. In the operations, each photo-diode in the CCD detects the electric charge signal corresponding to the distance to the subject. The distance measurement data is calculated from the electric charge signal detected by each photo-diode of the CCD. The image data and the distance measurement data are stored in a file or files created in a recording medium so as to maintain correspondence between the image data and the distance measurement data.

Three-dimensional image capturing device and recording medium

A three-dimensional image capturing device comprises a light source and an imaging device, such as a CCD, having a plurality of photo-diodes. The light source outputs a pulsed distance measuring light beam simultaneously with a discharge of unwanted charges from the photo-diodes due to an electric charge discharging signal. A reflected light beam, generated by a measurement subject due to the distance measuring light beam, is received by the photo-diodes. When a predetermined time has elapsed since the output of the distance measuring light beam, an electric charge transfer signal is output so that electric charge, i.e. signal charge accumulated in each of the photo-diodes, is transferred to the vertical transfer unit. The electric charge and the electric charge discharging signal are repeatedly output, so that the signal charge is integrated in the vertical transfer unit. Numbers of the electric discharging signals and the electric charge transfer signals are adjusted such that a level of the signal charge has a proper value.

Image capturing device for capturing a shape of a measurement subject

An encoded symbol reading device capable of reading and decoding a tessellated symbol. A detector detects an optical image formed by the encoded symbol and outputs a signal corresponding to the optical image. The signal is compared with threshold values and a 1-bit data value is output. The 1-bit data values are converted into an n-bit data value which is stored in a memory. The threshold values are also stored in memory and are obtained by detecting an optical image formed by a surface having a predetermined color.

An optical image is focussed and formed on the electro-developing medium by a photographing lens, and is directly recorded and developed thereon as as a visible image. The recorded image is photoelectrically read by a CCD image line sensor as a series of pixel data, and the series of pixel data is processed to thereby produce a printing data therefrom. A printing is successively made on a paper on the basis of the processed printing data.

An exposure control apparatus for an electronic development type camera having a photographic optical system. The camera uses a recording medium in which subject images formed through the photographic optical system are electrically developed. The exposure control apparatus includes a detecting device for detecting first photometric data which corresponds to subject light passed through the recording medium at a moment an exposure of the recording medium commences. The detecting device further detects second photometric data which corresponds to subject light passed through the recording medium after the exposure commences and before the exposure terminates. The exposure control apparatus further includes a calculating device for calculating a transmittance of the recording medium after the exposure commences, using the first and second photometric data, and a controlling device for controlling the exposure of the recording medium in accordance with the calculated transmittance.

A fill-in light emitting apparatus having an illuminating mechanism for emitting illumination light whose color temperature can be varied; a color temperature metering mechanism for measuring the color temperature of the external light; and a color temperature controlling mechanism for varying the color temperature of the illumination light in accordance with color temperature data measured by the color temperature metering mechanism.

An optical color separation system which separates light incident thereupon into at least two color components. The optical color separation system includes a plurality of dichroic mirrors that are arranged nonparallel to one another and along an optical axis of the incident light to reflect different color components. The dichroic mirrors are disposed at predetermined positions so that the respective color components of the incident light are reflected toward different relay positions corresponding to the respective color components. The incident light contains at least one color component, and is incident upon and reflected by one or more subsequent dichroic mirrors behind a frontmost dichroic mirror. The incident light is also transmitted through preceding dichroic mirrors including the frontmost dichroic mirror in accordance with at least one color component. The optical color separation system also includes a plurality of reflection mirrors corresponding to the dichroic mirrors, provided at the relay positions. The reflection mirrors are disposed at predetermined positions such that the different color components reflected by the dichroic mirrors are reflected by the reflection mirrors in a manner that optical paths of the reflected lights from the respective reflection mirrors are substantially parallel.

An electronic color still video camera having an electro-developing recording medium and a color filter includes a photographing lens system for forming an optical image on the filter, an optical lens system for forming the optical image, formed on the filter, in an image-forming plane of the medium to record and develop the optical image therein, and an image reader for optically reading to obtain image data from the recorded and developed image of the medium. The image reader includes a light source having a light emitting surface arranged parallel with the image-forming plane of the medium such that light beams emitted from the light emitting surface of the source are perpendicularly directed to and are passed through the image-forming plane, and an image sensor having a light receiving surface oriented in the same direction as the light emitting surface of the source. The optical lens system is arranged such that the light beams passing through the image-forming plane of the medium are directed to and focused at the light receiving surface of the image sensor.

Electronic color still video camera having electro-developing recording

An electronic still video camera having an electro-developing recording medium includes a photographing optical system for forming an optical image on an image-forming plane of the recording medium to record and develop the optical image therein. An image reader is provided for optically reading the image-forming plane to obtain image data from the recorded image of the recording medium. The image reader includes: a light source having a light emitting surface arranged parallel with the image-forming plane of the recording medium such that light beams emitted from the light emitting surface of the light source are perpendicularly directed to and passed through the image-forming plane of the recording medium; an image sensor having a light receiving surface oriented in the same direction as the light emitting surface of the light source; and an optical system constituted such that the light beams passed through the image-forming plane of the recording medium are directed to and focused at the light receiving surface of the image sensor.

Electronic still video camera having electro-developing recording

A computer system includes a computer and a peripheral device. A communication cable, used to connect the peripheral device to the computer, has a first cable, a second cable and a patch unit. The first cable encloses a set of power lines and a set of data lines, and the second cable encloses a set of data lines. The patch unit includes a socket with first and second contacts. In the patch unit, the sets of data lines of the first and second cables are connected. One of the power lines is connected to the first contact, and another of the power lines is connected to the second contact. The first cable connects the patch unit with the peripheral device, and the second cable connects the patch unit with the computer. When power is applied from an external source to the first and second contacts, the power is supplied from the first and second contacts to the peripheral device.
