An effective vehicle attitude control method in which the abrupt change of the vehicle attitude due to the acceleration slip control can be quickly controlled. When the slippage of a drive wheel is determined to be greater than a predetermined value, the drive force of the drive wheel is controlled and, at the same time, the suspension characteristic is altered to a harder state. For preferentially keeping maneuverability and riding comfort, the altered suspension characteristic may be restored to the original state when a preset time period has passed.

Method for controlling a vehicle attitude

A wheel slip control system for independently executing an anti-skid control and a traction control. The system includes a microcomputer, a first capacity control valve for anti-skid control, a selector valve, and a second capacity control valve for traction control. These values are connected in series between a master cylinder and a break cylinder. Such valves prevent brake fluid from over-charging a reservoir even in the course of switching from anti-skid control to traction control or vice versa, so that the brake pressure is properly reduced without consideration of capacity of the reservoir.

Wheel slip control system

An overdrive control apparatus is provided with a gradient sensor unit for sensing a gradient of a vehicle running road. The overdrive control apparatus releases an overdrive mode of an automatic change gear device which is set up for a level drive of the vehicle in accordance with a sensing signal from the gradient sensing unit.

Overdrive control apparatus

An apparatus measures and indicates the speeds of a vehicle at the beginning and end of braking of the vehicle by counting as many vehicle speed representative pulse signals as indicative of the speed per hour of the vehicle which are gated during the time that the desired number of clock pulses are counted in response to the beginning and end of braking of the vehicle, respectively.
