A vehicle includes a vehicle platform configured to receive an instruction from an autonomous driving kit. The vehicle platform includes a steering wheel to be operated by a driver of the vehicle, a steering motor configured to generate torque for varying an angle of a front wheel of the vehicle, and a first control device configured to control the steering motor. The vehicle platform is configured to receive a front wheel steering angle instruction value requested by the autonomous driving kit during autonomous driving of the vehicle. The first control device is configured to classify driver intervention to the steering wheel into one of a plurality of categories, and control torque of the steering motor in consideration of the steering intention of the driver when a driver operation on the steering wheel is caused, during autonomous driving of the vehicle.

Vehicle

The vehicle includes a vehicle platform configured to be capable of receiving commands related to autonomous driving from the autonomous driving kit. The autonomous driving kit is configured to transmit a wake command to the vehicle platform requesting transition of the power mode of the vehicle platform to the wake mode. The vehicle platform transitions to the wake mode by the wake command only when the shift lever indicates parking and the vehicle speed is 0 km/h.

ADK includes a computer and a communication module. VP includes a non-redundant control system that performs a non-redundant control function, a first bus, a second bus, a first VCIB that is configured to be communicable with the communication module via the first bus and provides a control instruction to the non-redundant control system in accordance with a non-redundant control command for controlling the non-redundant control system from ADK, a second VCIB that is configured to be communicable with the communication module via the second bus, and a third bus that connects the first VCIB and the second VCIB. When the communication via the first bus is abnormal, the computer controls the communication module to send a non-redundant control command to the first VCIB via the second bus and the third bus.

Autonomous driving kit

A vehicle includes: a vehicle platform configured to execute a plurality of predetermined functions of the vehicle; an autonomous driving kit that is configured to issue an instruction for autonomous driving and is attachable to and detachable from the vehicle platform; and a vehicle control interface box configured to communicate with the autonomous driving kit and issue a control instruction to the vehicle platform based on an instruction from the autonomous driving kit. A vehicle mode state indicating a state of the vehicle platform includes a manual mode under control of a driver of the vehicle, an autonomous driving mode under control of the autonomous driving kit, and a standby mode in which an operation on the vehicle platform by the driver is prohibited. The vehicle mode state is shifted to the standby mode when the vehicle platform is activated based on a control instruction from the autonomous driving kit.

A catalyst deterioration detection device is provided to detect deterioration of a catalyst provided in an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine. The catalyst deterioration detection device includes a storage device and processing circuitry. The storage device stores map data specifying a mapping that uses time series data of an excess amount variable in a first predetermined period and time series data of a downstream detection variable in a second predetermined period as inputs to output a deterioration level variable. The processing circuitry executes an acquisition process that acquires data, a deterioration level variable calculation process that calculates a deterioration level variable of the catalyst based on an output of the mapping using the data acquired by the acquisition process as an input. The map data includes data that is learned through machine learning.

When it is judged that a downward slope segment exists in a scheduled traveling route, the control device of a hybrid vehicle sets a target remaining capacity SOC* in a pre-use segment in a downward slope segment and the downward slope segment to a 'low-side remaining capacity Sd which is &#x394;Sd smaller than a standard remaining capacity Sn.' Furthermore, when it is presumed that a rise amount of a remaining capacity by an extended regeneration control is large in the pre-use segment and the downward slope segment, the target remaining capacity SOC* is set to a 'low-side remaining capacity Sd which is a sum of &#x394;Sd and &#x394;Ssmaller than the standard remaining capacity Sn.'

Control device for hybrid vehicle

A control apparatus for a hybrid vehicle determines a scheduled travel route. The control apparatus further determines a downhill section included in the scheduled travel route by using gradient information acquired for a road section at a time when the vehicle has traveled on the road section and using gradient information stored in a navigation database for a road section on which the vehicle travels for a first time. The control apparatus determines a section from a downhill control start point to an end point of the target downhill section as a downhill control section. The downhill control start point is a point located a predetermined first distance closer to the vehicle from a start point of the target downhill section. When the vehicle travels on the downhill control section, the control apparatus executes downhill control.

Control apparatus for hybrid vehicle

Appropriate tuck-in suppression control is enabled in a vehicle configured to carry out regeneration enhancement control. A predictive deceleration support control unit is configured to set a position at which the vehicle is predicted to finish deceleration as a target deceleration end position, and guide a driver to release an accelerator pedal so that the deceleration of the vehicle is finished at the target deceleration end position, to thereby carry out regeneration enhancement control under a state in which the accelerator pedal is released so as to generate a larger deceleration than in a normal state. The predictive deceleration support control unit is configured to read a tuck-in control flag from a brake ECU, and stop the regeneration enhancement control when the tuck-in suppression control is being carried out.

Vehicle control device

When a vehicle is in an accelerator off state and satisfies a free-run condition, a regeneration control unit performs free-run control on the vehicle so that the amount of regenerative electric power is decreased. The regeneration control unit sets a free-run prohibited zone between a starting point of a regeneration enhancement zone and a position that is located in front of and separated by a determination distance from the starting point.

Vehicle controller

A control apparatus applied to a hybrid vehicle of the invention executes a regeneration control for charging a battery with electricity generated by a motor generator while applying regeneration braking force to the vehicle from the motor generator. The apparatus executes an enlarged regeneration control for charging the battery with the electricity generated by the motor generator while applying increased regeneration braking force to the vehicle from the motor generator when a target deceleration end position is set. The apparatus executes a control for controlling a vehicle speed to a speed equal to or smaller than an upper limit speed when a control execution request is generated. The apparatus forbids the enlarged regeneration control when the control execution request is generated and the vehicle speed is equal to or larger than a threshold vehicle speed smaller than the upper limit speed.

Vehicle control apparatus

A driving assistance apparatus outputs a deceleration recommendation indicator as an indicator of recommending deceleration of a vehicle to a display section. The deceleration recommendation indicator recommends deceleration of the vehicle for a target position ahead in the traveling direction of the vehicle. The deceleration recommendation indicator varies in accordance with the speed of the vehicle.

Driving assistance apparatus

Appropriate vehicle stability control is enabled in a vehicle configured to carry out regeneration enhancement control. A predictive deceleration support control unit is configured to set a position at which the vehicle is predicted to finish deceleration as a target deceleration end position, and guide a driver to release an accelerator pedal so that the deceleration of the vehicle is finished at the target deceleration end position, to thereby carry out regeneration enhancement control under a state in which the accelerator pedal is released so as to generate a larger deceleration than in a normal state. The predictive deceleration support control unit is configured to read a vehicle stability control flag from a brake ECU and stop the regeneration enhancement control when the vehicle stability control is being carried out.

A driving assistance system includes a stop assistance controller, an assistance necessity determining unit, and a determining position arithmetic unit. The stop assistance controller is configured to perform stop assistance of an own vehicle. The assistance necessity determining unit is configured to determine whether it is necessary to perform the stop assistance of the own vehicle based on a stop determining position where it is determined whether to perform the stop assistance of the own vehicle and a predicted display state of a traffic signal at a time the own vehicle arrives at the stop determining position. The determining position arithmetic unit is configured to determine the stop determining position according to a current display state of the traffic signal.

Driving assistance system

Appropriate collision avoidance support control is enabled in a vehicle configured to carry out regeneration enhancement control. A predictive deceleration support control unit is configured to set a position at which the vehicle is predicted to finish deceleration as a target deceleration end position, and guide a driver to release an accelerator pedal so that the deceleration of the vehicle is finished at the target deceleration end position, to thereby carry out regeneration enhancement control under a state in which the accelerator pedal is released so as to generate a larger deceleration than in a normal state. The predictive deceleration support control unit is configured to read a collision avoidance support control flag from a collision avoidance support ECU, and stop the regeneration enhancement control when the collision avoidance support control is being carried out.
