A liquid droplet ejecting apparatus includes: an ejecting head made of metal and having an ejection surface; an electrode which moves relative to the ejection surface; a voltage source generating a potential difference between the ejecting head and the electrode; an electric current detector detecting an electric current between the ejecting head and the electrode; and a controller. The controller is configured to: calculate a flying speed of the liquid droplet based on a first distance between the ejecting head and the electrode and a time during which the electric current flows between the ejecting head and the electrode; and calculate an ejection bending amount, based on a time after the liquid droplet is ejected from the ejecting head in a state that the ejection surface and the electrode are apart from each other by a second distance and until the liquid droplet lands on the electrode.

Liquid droplet ejecting apparatus

A liquid droplet ejecting apparatus, includes: an ejecting head which ejects liquid droplets; a light source which causes light to be radiated toward a flight space of the liquid droplets with a first output power or a second output power; a detecting element which detects received amount of the light radiated from the light source and passed through the liquid droplets flying in the flight space; and a controller. The controller causes the light to be radiated from the light source with the first or second output power at a timing of the ejecting head being driven to eject the liquid droplets; in a first detecting mode, executes a detection about an ejection failure of the nozzles based on the received amount of the light; and in a second detecting mode, executes a detection about a phenomenon causing the ejection failure based on the received amount of the light.

A liquid droplet discharge apparatus includes: a metallic discharge head configured to discharge a liquid droplet onto a print medium; an electrode arranged facing the discharge head; a voltage source configured to generate a potential difference between the discharge head and the electrode; a current detection part configured to detect a current flowing between the discharge head and the electrode; and a controller. The controller is configured to calculate a volume of the liquid droplet based on a current value detected by the current detection part, in a case that the liquid droplet is discharged from the discharge head in a state that the potential difference is generated between the discharge head and the electrode by the voltage source.

A curing device includes a light emitting member, and a control device. The light emitting member has a light source configured to emit light to cure liquid on a printing medium. The light source and the printing medium are configured to be located with a gap therebetween. The gap is variable among a plurality of distances including a first distance and a second distance greater than the first distance. The control device is configured to perform: controlling the light source to emit light of an intensity based on the gap so that the intensity when the gap is the second distance is greater than when the gap is the first distance.

A printing apparatus includes a head which discharges liquid onto a printing medium; and a light irradiation unit which is aligned with the head in a first direction and which irradiates the liquid on the printing medium with light. The light irradiation unit has light source arrays arranged in the first direction, each of the light source arrays includes light sources aligned in a second direction, and the light source arrays include a first light source array which is disposed most closely to the head in the first direction. The light, which is radiated by each of the light sources included in the first light source array, has an intensity that is smaller than an intensity of the light which is radiated by each of the light sources included in the light source arrays different from the first light source array.

A printer includes a platen, a head, and an irradiation device. The platen is configured to support a printing object and to move the printing object in a first scanning direction. The head is configured to move in a second scanning direction relative to the printing object. The second scanning direction crosses the first scanning direction. The irradiation device irradiates light onto the light-curable ink deposited on the printing object. A liquid discharge apparatus includes: a head, a radiation unit, a movement mechanism, and a controller. An apparatus is disclosed for displaying to a viewer an image stereoscopically representing a three-dimensional object to be displayed. The apparatus includes: an emitter emitting light, having an intensity modulating section capable of intensity modulation for modulating an intensity of the light emitted from the emitter; a wavefront-curvature modulator capable of wavefront-curvature modulation for modulating a curvature of wavefront of the light emitted from the emitter; and a controller controlling the intensity modulation and the wavefront-curvature modulation, based on a luminance signal indicative of luminance of the image, and a depth signal indicative of depth of the image. The depth signal is a signal corresponding to depth data produced in a rendering process for the object to be displayed.

A viewing angle can be broadened without causing degradation in resolution of a three-dimensional image by a retinal scanning display. An image display system includes a projector which displays an image in a first region by projecting an image onto a screen, and a retinal scanning display which displays an image in a second region provided in the first region by projecting the image onto a pupil of a user. A position for displaying a three-dimensional content out of the image to be displayed in the first region is determined. The three-dimensional content is displayed on the retinal scanning display when the position falls within the second region, while the three-dimensional content is displayed on the projector when the position falls outside the second region.

The present invention provides a drive circuit for driving a capacitive electromechanical transducer device. The capacitive electromechanical transducer device is constituted of two electromechanical transducer parts consisting of a first capacitive electromechanical transducer part and a second capacitive electromechanical transducer part and is operated in response to two-phase sinusoidal signals having mutually opposite phases. The drive circuit includes an inductor which resonates with the first electromechanical transducer part and the second electromechanical transducer part, and a resonance frequency of the resonance circuit is set substantially equal to an operation frequency of the electromechanical transducer device.
