A DC power supply device includes a first conversion unit connected to an AC power supply, a second conversion unit connected to an electric tool, and a cable connecting the first conversion unit and the second conversion unit to each other. The first conversion unit includes a power factor correction circuit, converts an AC voltage having a first voltage value, input from the AC power supply, into a DC voltage having a second voltage value higher than the first voltage value, and outputs the DC voltage having the second voltage value to the cable. The second conversion unit converts the output voltage of the first conversion unit, input via the cable, into a DC voltage having a third voltage value lower than the second voltage value, and outputs the DC voltage having the third voltage value to the electric tool.

A backpack-type power supply includes: a plurality of cell units () each configured of a plurality of secondary battery cell (); a case () configured to accommodate the cell units and having first and second contacts; and a harness () attached to the case, characterized by including; first connecting means () for electrically connecting the first contact and a positive terminal of each cell unit to form a first electrical path therebetween; and second connecting means () for electrically connecting the second contact and a negative terminal of each cell unit to form a second electrical path therebetween, each first electrical path and each second electrical path forming a total electrical path having a total resistance for each cell unit, the total resistance of each total electrical path being adjusted such that heat distribution is substantially uniform over the plurality of cell units in the case.

The backpack-type power supply includes a rechargeable battery, a case, a harness, and an operation unit. The case accommodates the rechargeable battery. A user wears the case on a back of the user by the harness. The operation unit includes at least one of a switch and a display unit. The switch is configured to enable or disable the rechargeable battery. The display unit is configured to display a battery level of the rechargeable battery.

A power supply device includes a main body, a cover member, a rechargeable battery, and an inverter device. The main body is configured of box-shape formed with an opening. A battery pack includes a case having an upper case part and a lower case part. A battery pack for use with a battery-driven power tool includes three battery cells in which two out of three are arranged horizontally in parallel to and in alignment with each other in a lower case and the remaining one battery cell is vertically arranged in an upper case. The upper case of the battery pack is inserted, in use, into a battery pack receiving space formed in the grip portion of a power tool. Therefore, the grip portion can be made thin and usability of the power tool is enhanced.

Rechargeable battery

A battery charger is configured to use selective one of two or more power supplies including a commercial AC power supply and a DC power supply. An AC cable is fixedly secured to the body of the battery charger and a DC cable is detachably connected to the body of the battery charger. A single transformer is employed that has a first primary winding to which the AC power supply is connected a first switching element, a second primary winding to which the DC power supply is connected via a second switching element, and a secondary winding to which a battery pack to be charged is coupled.

A combustion type power tool having a fan capable of providing a desirable turbulence in a combustion chamber. A fan is rotatably disposed in a combustion chamber and driven by a motor. The fan has fan blades each having a leading edge and a trailing edge. An angle of the leading edge relative to a rotational plane of the fan is approximately equal to an angle of the trailing edge relative to the rotational plane, whereby high degree of turbulence is generated from the position near the leading edge.

A combustion-type power tool includes a housing, a cylinder head disposed at one end of the housing, a cylinder in the housing, a piston slidably disposed in the cylinder, and a driver blade connected to the piston. A combustion-chamber is provided in the housing, a fan is disposed in the combustion chamber, and a motor having an output shaft is coupled to the fan. A motor holder accommodates the motor, and the cylinder head is formed with a motor holder receiving portion in which the motor holder is slidably movably disposed. An elastic member is disposed in a gap formed between the motor holder and the motor holder receiving portion.

A main switch section is accommodated in a trigger. The trigger provided on the handle through a spring. The handle is formed with a recess to which one end of the spring is seated, so that the trigger is normally urged toward the lower side of the combustion-type nail driver. A switch accommodating portion is provided in the lower side of the canister housing. A push switch is stored in the switch accommodating portion. The push switch is a commodity type micro-switch covered with a switch protection member made from an elastic material such as a rubber.

A combustion-powered, fastener-driving tool includes a cylinder and a combustion chamber disposed on top of the cylinder that accommodates a gaseous mixture of existing air in the combustion chamber and fuel injected therein. A spark plug generates a spark to combust the gaseous mixture in the combustion chamber. A trigger produces the spark in the spark plug when operated. A piston is movably supported in the cylinder and driven by combustion in the combustion chamber. A driving blade is coupled to the piston for driving a fastener. A spark controller is provided for generating a plurality of sparks in succession with the spark plug.

A combustion-type power tool includes a housing, a head portion, a cylinder disposed in the housing, and a push lever. A piston is reciprocally movable in the cylinder, and a combustion-chamber frame is disposed in the housing and abuttable on the head portion to provide a combustion chamber in cooperation with the head portion and the piston. A fuel supplying portion supplies the fuel into the combustion chamber, a motor is disposed at the head portion, and a fan is disposed in the combustion chamber and connected to an output shaft of the motor so as to promote turbulent combustion of an air-fuel mixture. The fan and the combustion-chamber frame define a high turbulent-combustion region and a low turbulent-combustion region, a fin of one shape is located within the low turbulent-combustion region, and another fin of another shape has a part thereof located in the high turbulent-combustion region.
