A three-terminal capacitor includes a main body having a cylindrical or substantially cylindrical shape extending in a first direction and including first and second inner electrodes alternately laminated together with dielectric layers interposed therebetween, a pair of first outer electrodes on two end surfaces of the main body in the first direction and electrically connected to the first inner electrodes, and a second outer electrode electrically connected to the second inner electrodes. The main body includes a projecting portion projecting in a direction perpendicular or substantially perpendicular to the first direction at a position between the pair of first outer electrodes. The second outer electrode is provided on one surface of the projecting portion viewable when viewed in the first direction.

LC composite electronic component

A noise filter array includes filter elements including an LC parallel resonant circuit and an LC series resonant circuit each of which includes a coil and a capacitor provided in proximity in an array and integrally provided with one another. The LC series resonant circuits include ground capacitors having signal-side electrodes. Inductance adjustment conductors are connected to signal-side electrodes of the capacitors defining the respective filter elements, and a ground electrode of the capacitors is commonly arranged so as to oppose the signal-side electrodes.

Noise filter array

A noise filter array includes filter elements, each of which includes an LC parallel resonant circuit having a coil and a capacitor and an LC series resonant circuit having a coil and a capacitor, are arranged substantially parallel to one another in an array and integrally provided. Grounding capacitors that define the filter elements are arranged so that a common ground-side electrode faces signal-side electrodes and is connected to an inductance adjusting conductor that defines the LC series resonant circuits along with the capacitors through a via hole. The lengths of the inductance adjusting conductor from a connection location within the via hole to ground terminals are substantially equal in each of the filter elements.

A noise filter includes a plurality of LC parallel resonant circuits having a plurality of coils which are connected in series and electrically connected to external electrodes at both ends thereof, and capacitors which are connected in parallel to the coils, respectively, and are disposed inside an insulator while being sequentially connected in tandem to signal wires. Resonance frequencies of the respective LC parallel resonant circuits are preferably different from each other. Further, a shield electrode is disposed between the coils, and the shield electrode also defines a capacitance-forming electrode for preventing magnetic coupling between the two coils.

Noise filter and noise filter array

In a method of selecting a suitable noise suppression component, an input signal to a digital circuit including a transmitter IC, a noise suppression filter, a transmission line, and a receiver IC is expanded by Fourier expansion so as to express the input signal in terms of a series sum of sine waves. The Fourier-expanded input signal and the circuit constants of the digital circuit are used to calculate a signal on the input side of the receiver IC. Similar calculation is performed for all possible filters to assign scores for each of fundamental and harmonic components of the signal, while considering both the noise suppressing effect and the signal waveform quality. Total scores are calculated, and the filters are ranked from a high score to a low score.

Noise suppression component selecting method and program

A noise filter includes a plurality of magnetic sheets stacked one on another. The magnetic sheets are baked to form a layered product. A transmission line is arranged between the second and third magnetic sheets. The transmission line extends linearly in the longitudinal direction of the layered product. Two ground conductors have the second and third magnetic sheets therebetween. Signal electrodes connected to both ends of the transmission line are arranged adjacent to both ends, in the longitudinal direction, of the layered product. Grounding electrodes connected to the ground conductors are arranged in the middle positions, in the longitudinal direction, of the layered product. With the ground conductors being grounded, a signal passes through the transmission line, thus attenuating high-frequency noise using heat dissipation by the four magnetic sheets.
