Copolymer-comprising antimicrobial, cell culture, antithrombotic, or biopharmaceutical article

Provided is a process for the production of a fluorine-containing block copolymer, which suppresses the formation of a homopolymer as a by-product and which, regardless of whether the chain transfer constant of the iodine end is large or small, achieves nearly 100% conversion into a block copolymer. The process is characterized by reacting (A) a fluorine-containing polymer which has an iodine atom or a bromine atom at either or both terminals of the backbone chain and/or at a side-chain terminal with (M) a radical-polymerizable monomer in the presence of (C) a sulfur compound represented by general formula (2): (Y)HSO(wherein Yis a mono- or divalent metal ion or an ammonium ion; and n is an integer of 0 to 2).

Process for production of fluorine-containing block copolymer

Provided is a process for the production of a fluorine-containing block copolymer, which suppresses the formation of a homopolymer as a by-product and which, regardless of whether the chain transfer constant of the iodine end is large or small, achieves nearly 100% conversion into a block copolymer. The process is characterized by reacting (A) a fluorine-containing polymer which has an iodine atom or a bromine atom at either or both terminals of the backbone chain and/or at a side-chain terminal with (M) a radical-polymerizable monomer in the presence of (C) a sulfur compound represented by general formula (2): (Y)HSO(wherein Yis a mono- or di-valent metal ion or an ammonium ion; and n is an integer of 0 to 2).

Process for preparing end-modified vinylidene fluoride elastomer

There is provided a fluorine-containing polymer having an ionic group which has a heteroaromatic ring and is useful as a material comprising various heteroaromatic ring compounds having a stable fluorine-containing heteroaromatic ring, and further fluorine-containing polymer having a heteroaromatic ring which is useful as a starting material of the above-mentioned polymer or a curing agent. Also, there is provided a fluorine-containing polymer having a heteroaromatic ring such as imidazole in its side chain, a polymer salt thereof, and a polymer composition comprising such a polymer and a polymer salt and a nano filler.

Fluorine-containing polymer having heteroaromatic ring

There are provided novel crosslinked fluorine-containing elastomer fine particles, a process for preparing crosslinked fluorine-containing elastomer fine particles and a resin composition comprising the same. The crosslinked fluorine-containing elastomer fine particles are crosslinked fluorine-containing elastomer fine particles having a gel fraction of not less than 85% by mass or crosslinked fluorine-containing elastomer fine particles obtained by crosslinking fluorine-containing elastomer particles having at least three iodine atoms per one polymer molecule at an end thereof. The composition is one comprising those fine particles and a synthetic resin. The preparation process is a process for preparing crosslinked fluorine-containing elastomer fine particles, characterized by subjecting peroxide-crosslinkable fluorine-containing elastomer particles to peroxide-crosslinking by heating an aqueous dispersion comprising the fluorine-containing elastomer particles, a peroxide and a polyfunctional unsaturated compound.

Crosslinked fluorine-containing elastomer fine particles, preparation process of same, and composition

There is provided a coating composition which comprises (A) a synthetic resin having functional group, (B) a stain-proofing component which is a liquid polydialkylsiloxane having functional group or a liquid fluoropolyether having functional group and (C) a curing agent, and the composition is excellent in a stain-proofing property, particularly removability of oily stain, thereby enabling scribbling to be easily wiped off, and is suitable for outdoor coating being excellent in weather resistance and adhesion.

There is provided a preparation process in which a N&#x2014;H group of a heteroaromatic ring compound having a N&#x2014;H group in its ring is converted directly to a N&#x2014;Rf group at a high reaction efficiency without using a catalyst. The preparation process is a process for preparing a compound comprising a heteroaromatic ring structure having a N&#x2014;Rf group (&#x2014;Rf is a fluorine-containing organic group) in its ring and is characterized in that the heteroaromatic ring compound having a N&#x2014;H group in its ring is allowed to react with fluoroalkene in the absence of an alkali metal.

An ion-conducting layer for an actuator element including (I) a fluorine-containing polymer having a functional group and (II) an ionic liquid. The functional group is selected from &#x2014;OH, &#x2014;COOH, &#x2014;COOR, &#x2014;CN, iodine atom, epoxy group and (meth)acryloyl group, and is contained in a side chain and/or at an end of a trunk chain of the fluorine-containing polymer. Also disclosed is an electrode layer including (I) the fluorine-containing polymer having a functional group, (II) an ionic liquid and (III) an electroconductive nano-filler. A polymer composite material provides superior heat resistance, mechanical physical properties, substance permeation barrier properties, flame retardant properties, electrical conductivity and the like. Moreover, a novel surface-modified nanofiller utilizes this type of polymer composite material. The polymer composite material contains nanofillers, fluorocompounds and polymers. Fluoruocompounds bond to the surface of the nanofillers. The nanofillers to which fluorocompounds are surface-bonded are mixed with or dispersed in polymers.
