A diagnostic method, a treatment method and a medical system are capable of selecting reasonably and effectively a favorable order of treatments capable of achieving desired effects when lesion areas in both left and right lower limb arteries are treated in order from an artery of an arm. The method of treating a patient having lesion areas X in both left and right lower limb arteries involves determining the lesion area X to be treated first, based on at least the two pieces of selected comparative information on each of the lesion areas X.

By determining that a lesion distal to an aortailiac bifurcation is to be treated first, catheters and an operation time can be reduced is to be treated first on a priority basis based on diagnostic data, deciding that a lesion proximal to the bifurcation is to be treated next, then treating the lesions substantially continuously.

In a method for diagnosing, validating and treating a patient having lesions in both arteries of left and right lower limbs. By determining that a smaller curvature of lesion to be treated first, catheters and an operation time can be reduced is to be treated first on a priority basis based on diagnostic data, deciding that a larger lesion curvature is to be treated next, then treating the lesions substantially continuously.

For treatment of a patient who has a lesion in each of left lower limb artery and right lower limb artery, lesions at both sides can be rather easily and completely treated. A catheter is introduced from an artery of an arm of the patient, and an atherectomy catheter is used for a lesion at one side and continuously used for a lesion at the other side without being extracted to the outside of a human body, and thus damage of an excision portion of the atherectomy catheter and an unexpected situation such as no passage through twisted blood vessels are avoided so that a burden on the patient can be reduced, the treatment can be completed within a short time, and cost reduction can be achieved by reducing the number of catheter to be used.

Treatment method

A catheter including a sheath configured to be inserted into a lumen; a drive shaft inserted into the sheath; an image information acquiring unit fixed to a distal end of the drive shaft and acquires image information; a hub which moves the drive shaft in an axial direction of the sheath; an outer tube on a proximal end side of the sheath and includes a first connector at a proximal end thereof; a second connector which includes on a proximal end side of the outer tube a male connector able to be connected to and disconnected from the first connector; and an inner tube on a distal end side of the hub, that moves with respect to the outer tube along with the movement of the hub.

A stereoscopic-image game playing apparatus displays a screen image for right eye and a screen image for left eye on LCD 105, outputs images of the player obtained by cameras 103a and 103b to the receiving side, and displays images corresponding to the right half face and the left half face of the player based on the player's images on LCD 107. The images displayed on the LCD 107 are used as figures for selectively introducing lights from the screen images on the LCD 105, by lens 106, to the right and left eyes of the player. A stereoscopic image communication apparatus displays a screen image for right eye and a screen image for left eye on LCD 105, outputs images of the viewer obtained by cameras 103 to the receiving side, and displays images corresponding to the right half face and the left half face of the viewer based on the viewer's images on LCD 107. The images displayed on the LCD 107 are used as figures for selectively introducing lights from the screen images on the LCD 105, by lens 106, to the right and left eyes of the viewer. This enables stereoscopic vision without glasses for separating images respectively for the viewer's right and left eyes, and allows the viewer to move from the initial position.
