A process for coating development of a silver halide color photosensitive material is provided which comprises coating the silver halide color photosensitive material with a color developer to form a thin film. This process is characterized in that a developer containing a p-phenylenediamine developing agent having a group capable of imparting hydrophilic properties which developer has an ionic strength of 0.8 or below and an electric potential of the immersion bath of -280 mV or below is applied to the photosensitive material to form a coating film which is at most 20 times as thick as the dry photosensitive layer of the photosensitive material.

There is disclosed a method for recovering silver from photographic processing solution by electrolysis, in which method the cathode potential is set at a potential range wherein a precipitate of silver sulfide is formed in the electrolytic cell. According to the method, intensive silver recovering leading to low concentration of residual silver in the solution is achieved. Structure of electrolytic apparatus enabling easy separation of silver sulfide precipitates is also disclosed. Application of lead peroxide to the material of anode improves the life of the anode. Further advantages of the method are remarkable decreases in COD and iron contents of waste solution.

Silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material

A process for forming a color image is disclosed. The process involves providing a color light-sensitive photographic material and imagewise exposing the material. The latent images within the exposed material are then developed and subjected to intensification processing. Thereafter, the material is subjected to treatment with a dilute buffer solution having a pH adjusted within the range of 2 to 7. The process allows for the elimination of the washing step conventionally used in processing photographic materials. Furthermore, the process provides color images having a reduced amount of staining and a large intensification factor while utilizing color photographic materials containing an extremely small amount of silver.

Method of forming photographic line and half-tone images

Ferricyanide and/or ferrocyanide ions are effectively removed from waste photographic treating solutions by contacting the solutions with weakly basic anion exchange resins. Improved results are obtained with the salt form of the weakly basic anion exchange resin when contacting takes place in the presence of a compound having a buffering action at a pH of 5 to 9, e.g., in the presence of boric acid, metaboric acid or a water soluble borate. Upon regeneration of the anion exchange resin the eluted ions can be reused as a photographic processing solution, e.g., a bleaching solution, with the addition of make up components.
