An oil in water emulsion cosmetic composition for skin, in which vitamin A and its derivatives are stably incorporated and which has superior feeling in use (skin familiarity or feeling of skin absorption, feeling of efficacy after application) and base composition stability (emulsion stability) with the passage of time. The oil in water emulsion cosmetic composition for skin comprises, relative to the total amount of the cosmetic composition, (a) from 0.01 to 4% by mass of vitamin A and its derivative, (b) from 0.6 to 4% by mass of a nonionic surfactant comprising three of (b-1) sorbitan tristearate, (b-2) polyethylene glycol stearate with from 20 to 120 mols of polyethylene glycol added thereto, (b-3) glyceryl stearate having an HLB of from 5 to 8, and (c) from 1 to 10% by mass of a higher alcohol having from 14 to 24 carbon atoms, wherein the blend ratio (by mass) of component (b-1) to component (b) is from 0.1 to 0.8.

Oil in water emulsion cosmetic composition for skin

The present invention is an oil-in-water emulsion composition containing a hydrophilic non-ionic surfactant or hydrophilic anionic surfactant, a higher aliphatic alcohol, water, and an oil ingredient which meets specific conditions. This is an oil-in-water emulsion composition with good high temperature stability and usability, and can be used as a cream-like endermic liniment such as a cosmetic.

The cosmetic of the present invention is a cosmetic that alleviates skin irritation by blending in polypropylene glycol, a specific polar oil, or polybutylene glycol, as well as an ultraviolet absorbent. The present invention also relates to an agent and a method for alleviating irritation by lipophilic drugs. Since the present invention alleviates skin irritation due to ultraviolet absorbents and lipophilic drugs in cosmetics, any amount of ultraviolet absorbents and lipophilic drugs can be blended in cosmetics, and therefore cosmetics that can fully manifest their effects can be provided. Also, it is possible to prepare a safe sunblock cosmetic with superior ultraviolet protection effects because the ultraviolet absorbent is not absorbed through skin.

A hair dye composition comprising a component (A), which is a specified long-chain acyl sulfonic acid salt anionic surfactant, in an amount of 0.1 to 10.0 wt. %; a component (B), which is an aliphatic alcohol, in an amount of 0.25 to 25.0 wt. %; and a component (C), which is an acid dye and/or a natural dyestuff. The hair dye composition is stable even in a strongly acidic region (pH 1.5 to 4.5) where it exerts a dyeing effect. It has an appropriate viscosity and provides excellent sensation upon use. Furthermore, the composition can be easily rinsed off after use thereof.
