A fluid filter including: an upper case provided with an outlet hole; a lower case provided with an inlet hole; and a filter element held between the upper case and lower case, wherein the outlet hole and the inlet hole are arranged opposite to each other. The filter element includes a first filter material which is folded and arranged in a communication part connecting the outlet hole and the inlet hole, and a second filter material which is folded and spaced apart from the communication part, and the retention interval Lof the first filter material in the fold line direction is smaller than the retention interval Lof the second filter material in the fold line direction.

Fluid filter

A fluid filter including: an upper case member having a flow outlet; a lower case member having a flow inlet; a filter element having a folded filter material and a holding frame which holds the circumferential part of the filter material and is sandwiched between the upper case member and the lower case member; and a reinforcing member provided to extend in a direction crossing the ridge line direction of the folds of the filter material, the reinforcing member is provided in such a manner that, when the height of the folds is defined as h, the lower end thereof is positioned above a position of 0.6 hfrom the upper end of the folds.

The automatic transmission fluid filter includes a plastic upper case having an outlet port, a plastic lower case having an inlet port, and a filter element including a filter medium and a plastic holder frame holding the periphery of the filter medium and held between the upper case and lower case, at least one of the upper case and lower case including a pair of joint portions respectively joined to opposite walls a of the holder frame, and a connecting wall connecting the pair of joint portions and having a circular arc longitudinal cross section protruding outward of one case.

Automatic transmission fluid filter

A drain structure for a fluid filter includes a cap internally forming a drain hole. The cap receives a valve member urged by an urging means in a direction, in which the valve member blocks the drain hole. Normally, the drain hole is blocked with a drain member. When fluid is drained from the drain hole, the drain member is removed from the drain hole, and a drain tool is inserted into the drain hole, so that the drain tool displaces the valve member in a direction, in which the drain hole is unblocked. The drain tool has a hooking portion that can hook to a hooked portion provided to the cap by axially rotating the drain tool inserted into the drain hole of the cap. Thus, the drain tool can be connected with the cap while the hooking portion is supported by the hooked portion.
