The invention relates to an electric media gap machine () for a compressor and/or a turbine, in particular for a turbocharger of an internal combustion engine, including a shaft () which is rotatably mounted in a housing () and on which a rotor () is arranged in a rotationally fixed manner, a stator () which is fixed to the housing and which has at least one multi-phase drive coil () for generating a drive magnetic field and multiple stator teeth () that protrude radially inward, and a device () which is fixed to the stator for optimizing the flow of a medium flowing through the media gap machine. The device () has a cover cap () which covers at least the rotor () upstream thereof, wherein the cover cap () is adjoined by an inner sleeve () which surrounds the rotor () completely in the circumferential direction and at least partly in the axial direction. The device () has an outer sleeve () which is arranged coaxially to the inner sleeve () such that the only flow path for the medium between the inner sleeve () and the outer sleeve () is formed solely through the stator () of the media gap machine.

Electric media gap machine for a compressor and/or a turbine, turbocharger and/or turbine

The present disclosure relates to a combustion engine system and a method of operation thereof. The combustion engine system includes a pollutant conversion system and an exhaust gas turbocharger that includes a variable turbine geometry and a waste gate valve. The variable turbine geometry includes adjustable guide elements surrounding the turbine wheel in a circumferential direction and are arranged to define an overall cross-section in their respective position for the exhaust gas. In a control mode where the pollutant conversion system comprises a temperature above a threshold temperature, the guide elements are adjusted such that the overall cross-section is between a control minimum value and a control maximum value. In a heat-up mode at temperatures of the pollutant conversion system below the threshold temperature, the guide elements are moved to a heat-up position where the overall cross-section is smaller than the control minimum value.

Method for operating a combustion engine system

A compressor may include a compressor housing in which may be formed a charge air passage through which charge air may be flowable, an actuator arranged on the charge air passage for adaptation of a cross-section of the charge air passage, the actuator having a flow arrangement for influencing a flow of charge air through the charge air passage, and a linear actuator. The compressor may also have a housing body accommodating the linear actuator and integrally formed on the compressor housing, and a closure cover of the compressor housing closing the housing body and the compressor housing in an airtight manner against an external environment. A movement of the linear actuator directed tangentially to the flow arrangement may bring the flow arrangement into at least of at least one closed position and at least one open position to enable the cross-section of the charge air passage to be adapted.

Compressor and a method for the assembly of an actuation device in the compressor

A radial compressor for an exhaust gas turbocharger may include a compressor housing in which a flow channel is arranged, a compressor wheel arranged in the flow channel, a device influencing a characteristic field, and a discharge channel. The flow channel may delimit a flow path of air through the radial compressor. The flow channel may have a suction section via which the compressor wheel sucks in air. The compressor housing may have a circumferential section circumferentially surrounding the compressor wheel in which a spiral channel of the flow channel may be arranged via which air compressed by the compressor wheel flows out. The device may include a cavity fluidically connected to the suction section. The discharge channel may be arranged in the compressor housing feeding, via an inlet mouth point, into the cavity and extending to an outlet mouth point fluidically connecting the cavity to the spiral channel.

Radial compressor

A turbine may include a turbine housing having an inlet opening and an outlet opening, and defining a housing interior space configured to be subjected to a through-flow of exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine. A turbine rotor may be rotatably mounted in the turbine housing about an axis of rotation defining an axial direction. An exhaust gas sensor may be arranged in a measurement space of the turbine housing the exhaust gas sensor configured to determine at least one part of a gas component of the exhaust gas carried in the turbine housing. A feed line may be arranged in the turbine housing having a feed opening and a discharge line arranged in the turbine housing having a discharge opening for feeding and discharging exhaust gas at least one of in and out of the measurement space.
