A double-layer capacitor includes a first electrode having a first polarity, a second electrode having a second polarity, the first polarity being different from the second polarity, and an electrolyte that is in contact with the first electrode and the second electrode. The first electrode has a first charge of the first polarity and the second electrode has a second charge of the second polarity, and maximum values of the first charge and the second charge are substantially equal.

Double-layer capacitor, use of the same, and method for increasing the maximum charges of double-layer capacitor electrodes

An electrode includes a collector that is substantially flat and electrically conductive, an inner intermediate layer that is substantially corrosion resistant and conductive and that is on at least part of a surface of the collector, and an outer intermediate layer that is substantially corrosion resistant and conductive and that is on at least part of the inner intermediate layer. The electrode also includes an electrode layer containing carbon, which is on at least part of a surface of the outer intermediate layer that faces away from the inner intermediate layer.

Electrode and method for the production thereof

A mounting arrangement for mounting a component on a mounting plate has an elastic ring whose inside comprises a circumferential surface structure. The ring has two axial holes for fastening the ring on the mounting plate, and the ring has a radial slot that separates the ring between two end sections, so that the ring can be spread apart and then clamped around a component. The mounting arrangement is useful for mounting cylindrical components such as electrolytic capacitors that comprise a bead in the region of the floor on a mounting plate.

Mounting system comprising a mounting device

An electrode includes a current collector that is two-dimensional in shape and that contains perforations, and an intermediate layer that is electrically conductive and substantially corrosion-resistant. The intermediate layer is on at least part of a first surface of the current collector, and includes at least one of precious metal, graphitic carbon, a metal nitride, and a metal carbide. A first electrode layer is on the intermediate layer. At least part of the first electrode layer is in at least some perforations of the current collector. The first electrode layer, the intermediate layer, and the current collector are bonded together.

A method to produce a layer electrode for electrochemical components with a layer applied to a metal film to produce a connection between the metal film and the layer by softening the metal film and pressing a surface section of the layer over a part of the thickness of the layer into the softened metal film. The ohmic resistance of the layer electrode can be reduced in an advantageous manner via the pressing of surface sections of the layer into the metal film.

Method for producing a composite electrode for electrochemical components, and a composite electrode

For manufacturing a multi-layer structure with repeating layer sequences, a band-shaped carrier material is first partially separated into individual sections of a same size with connections capable of bearing remaining between the individual sections. After continuously applying at least one further material layer on the surface of the carrier material, the individual sections are completely separated by cutting or punching. The multi-layer structure is obtained by stacking the individual sections obtained in this way on top of one another, whereby intermediate layers can also be potentially inserted between two individual sections.

Method for production of a regular multi-layer construction, in particular for electrical double layer capacitors and the corresponding device

A plate-like heat sink module with polygonal ground plan or shape has an upper side for securing a heat generating component and an underside comprises cooling ribs. The outside edges of the module have surface structure complementary with one another and with whose assistance a plurality of the identical heat sink modules can be joined in one plane, whereby the surface structures are fashioned so that a heat sink module can be joined to another heat sink module in only one orientation to form an arrangement of the heat sink modules. As a result of the arrangement of heat sink modules, a heat sink for the interconnection of a plurality of capacitors to form a capacitor bank can be produced in an especially flexible way.

An electrical capacitor is installed in a housing with a planar housing floor. The capacitor is arranged in a depression of a cooling element. Fastening pins that are guided in bores laterally arranged at the cooling element serve the purpose of fixing the capacitor.

Electric capacitor

An electrical capacitor, particularly an electrolyte capacitor, that is built into a housing, particularly a metallic housing, has a male fastening member at the floor with the assistance of which the capacitor is secured to a fastening plate in vibration-proof fashion. The male fastening member is fixed with a snap mount composed of an insulating material that is pressed in a bore of the fastening plate. A formed portion that presses the snap mount against the fastening plate is arranged at the snap mount. The male fastening member comprises a constriction into which parts of the snap mount engage.

Electrical capacitor, particularly an electrolyte capacitor

An electric capacitor formed of dielectric layers provided on at least one side with metal layers with coatings, and wherein the layers are formed of partially crystallized and pre-shrunk polyethylene terephthalate. The coatings are alternately electrically conductively connected to metal layers applied by the Schoop process with opposing polarity to end faces of the capacitor body. The dielectric layers are arranged to form a stack or are deformed to form a flat-pressed winding. The polyethylene terephthalate dielectric layers have a degree of crystallization of at least 50%, in particular at least 55%, measured by differential thermo-analysis in order to determine the melting point enthalpy. In a method for production of such a capacitor, the capacitor bodies provided with the metal layers are subjected to an additional heat treatment in which the temperature is increased from room temperature to a final temperature of 200.degree. to 250.degree. C. for 1 to 5 hours. This final temperature is held for a period of 1 to 65 hours, where the length of this holding time is inversely proportional to the final temperature.
