Disclosed is a multi-layer screen protector for a display of an electronic device. The screen protector may include a glass exterior surface for tactile response, an optically clear anti-explosion adhesive to contain broken glass from the protector or the display, and a TPU layer to provide impact resistance. The screen protector may be flat or curved.

Disclosed herein is a case for a portable electronic device. The case has a back wall and a plurality of side walls for retaining the portable electronic device. The back wall includes a storage area. A cover is hingedly attached to the back wall to selectively cover the storage area. The storage area includes a grip for retaining edges of data cards.

Electronic device encasement which stores and presents data cards

Disclosed herein is an electronic device encasement which not only encases and protects the electronic device, it allows for storage and presentation of one or more data cards. As the encasement device operator initiates access to the stored data card by opening a protective storage cover, the accessing action initiates a subsequent mechanical response which presents the card by a separating action from the encasement and the other possible stored items, as to allow for easier access and use of the one or more data cards. The storage and presentment mechanisms include a plurality of pockets, grips, and other structures to secure and present the cards.

A case for use with an electronic device includes a base portion with side portions extending therefrom forming a pocket. The case also includes a first material generally at an exterior of the pocket, forming a majority of an exterior surface of the base portion, and a second material secured to and having a higher coefficient of friction than the first material, generally at an interior of the pocket. The second material protrudes through aperture(s) in the first material at the base portion to protrude from the interior to the exterior of the base portion, and outward from the first material such that the second material contacts a support surface when the base portion is placed thereon. The protruding second material extends away from the aperture(s) on opposing surfaces of the first material at the exterior and interior of the pocket to provide securement between the first and second materials.

A case for a portable electronic device, the portable electronic device having a first portion that slides away from a second portion. The case includes a first portion and a second portion that fit over the respective portions of the portable electronic device. The two portions of the case are coupled together in a sliding relationship so that the case portions slide along with the respective portions of the portable electronic device. The case portions are coupled to each other by interfacing structures such as rails and channels.

A case for use with a portable electronic device includes a first material configured to surround a back portion and side portions of the portable electronic device, the first material generally being positioned at an exterior of the case. The case also includes a second material secured to the first material, the second material having greater flexibility than the first material. The case additionally includes a movable stand configured to selectively extend from the first material to support the case in an elevated position. The movable stand is coupled to the first material by the second material.

A case for use with an electronic device having a screen has a base and a support mechanism. The support mechanism has a flexible body that is movable relative to the base between a first (substantially flat) position and a second position. The flexible body is configured to bend into a convex configuration and extend in a direction away from the outer surface of the base in the second position. The body in the second position can be used to engage a flat surface and to support the electronic device in an at least partially vertical viewing position to display the screen on the electronic device. The support mechanism may include a single piece or two arms configured to move relative to each other. The support mechanism may move in a longitudinal or a lateral direction relative to the base.

A dual function clip device for an electronic device having a screen has a body for receiving the electronic device, a clip mechanism with an arm movable relative to the body, and a viewing position support mechanism. The arm is pivotally movable about an axis in a first longitudinal position. The arm and its pivot axis is also movable longitudinally along a longitudinal axis of the device to at least one second longitudinal position where it may pivot open about the pivot axis. When the arm is open in the second longitudinal and open pivoted position, the clip device may be positioned to engage an upwardly facing flat surface so that the electronic device may be oriented to a viewing position to display its screen. A release lock and securement device are used for retaining the arm and for viewing position support. A method for displaying the screen is also described.
