A spraying head, especially a spraying head intended for fire extinguishing, which comprises a frame part, an inlet for extinguishing medium and at least two nozzles. At least one first nozzle () is arranged in a spraying head part (), for which first nozzle () the medium passage from the inlet of the spraying head is always open and that at least one second nozzle () is arranged in a sprinkler part () which comprises a triggering means (), whereby the passage of medium from the inlet to at least one second nozzle () is closed when the triggering means () is non-activated, and that the passage of medium for at least one second nozzle () is open when the triggering means () is activated. The invention also relates to a method.

Spraying head, spraying apparatus and method for fire extinguishing

A method for spraying a medium mist, particularly a medium mist used in firefighting, over a large area. In the method, at least two sprays of medium mist are formed, of which a first spray is within a second medium mist spray at least at or near the spraying point. During the formation of the sprays, the medium is set into a swirling motion at least before the discharge opening of the nozzle used to form each spray and/or at least before the sprays are mixed with each other. The swirling directions of the medium in different sprays are opposite to each other, whereby a preferably homogeneous mist spray spread over a large area is achieved.

Method for spraying a medium and spraying nozzle

A sprinkler which comprises a sprinkler frame (), in which there is at least one nozzle (), a heat-activated triggering element (), and a protective element () which is in front of the nozzle () in the protective position and mechanically protects the triggering element () when the sprinkler is in a non-active mode, and which protective element () is movable to a second position in which the nozzles () and the triggering element () are not protected by the protective element (). The sprinkler frame () is movable in relation to a fastening frame () between two positions, a first position in which the sprinkler is in a non-active mode, and a second position in which the sprinkler frame is protruding, and which sprinkler frame () is arranged movable from the effect of the pressure of medium in relation to the fastening frame () from the first position to the second position and at the same time to direct a force to the protective element () for moving it from the protective position to the second position, whereby the sprinkler is in the second position of the sprinkler frame set to a standby mode.

Sprinkler

A gate valve, comprising a body (), a gate element (), which is movable in the body, transversally with respect to the flow path () between at least two positions, i.e. a first position, where the flow path () is open, and a second position, where the flow path is closed, and means () for moving the gate element () between at least said two positions; said gate valve body () comprising a first wall element () and a second wall element () and a space () left therebetween for the gate element (), and an edge part (), which edge part, when bent, forms a support surface for the first wall element () and the second wall element () of the gate valve body; in said edge part (), there is arranged a channel space (), including at least one opening (), preferably several openings, which channel space opens into the space () left between the first wall element () and the second wall element () for conducting medium into said space. The edge part () is a pipe element, which is arranged between the first wall element () and the second wall element (), and the walls () are pressed by clamping means () against the edge part (), so that the edge part is pressed in between the first wall () and the second wall ().

Slide valve

A method for spraying a medium mist, especially a medium mist used in firefighting, over a large area, in which method at least two sprays of medium mist are formed, of which a first spray (S) is within a second medium mist spray (S) at least at or near the spraying point. During the formation of the sprays (S, S), the medium is set into a swirling motion at least before the discharge opening () of the nozzle used to form each spray (S, S) and/or at least before the sprays (S, S) are mixed with each other, and that the swirling directions of the medium in different sprays (S, S) are opposite to each other, whereby a preferably homogeneous mist spray spread over a large area is achieved.

An apparatus for blocking a medium flow passage in a spray head has a blocking element in the passage that, when unbroken, blocks the passage of medium from a first side having a first pressure to a second side having a second pressure. A supporting element is on that side of the blocking element where the pressure is lower, the supporting element being movable between a first position where the supporting element supports the blocking element so that it cannot be ruptured and a second position where the supporting element does not so support the blocking element.

Apparatus for blocking a medium flow passage in a spray head, and spray head

Valve element (), comprising a frame, at least one inlet and at least one outlet, a passage connecting the inlet and outlet, at least one burst disk () or equivalent, which, when unbroken, closes the passage from inlet to outlet, and a piston element () provided with a piercing element or the like for piercing the burst disk. The piston element () is provided with a passage () for a pressure medium, said passage extending axially through the piston element from one first side to one second side, which passage leading through the piston forms a part of the passage of the pressure medium after the burst disk () has been pierced.

Valve element

A valve element (), comprising a frame (), at least one first inlet (), at least one second inlet () and at least one outlet (). The valve element consists of a combination comprising at least one burst disk () or equivalent, which, when unbroken, closes a passage from the second inlet () at least to the outlet (), and a piston element () comprising a piercing element () or the like for piercing the burst disk, said piston element being arranged to be movable between at least two positions when the burst disk has been pierced, in which first position the passage from the second inlet () to the outlet () is closed while in a second position the passage from the second inlet () to the outlet () is open, to which second position the piston element is moved after the pressure difference between the second inlet and the first inlet has reached a predetermined value.

A spraying head for the humidification of intake air of a piston engine has a body and channels for supplying a spraying medium from an inlet to nozzles. A shutting/regulating mechanism respectively shuts off/regulates the channels.
