The invention relates to a rotation actuating device, comprising a base, a rotor and at least two groups of drive units, each group comprising at least two drive units, wherein the drive units are arranged peripherally on the base and between the base and the rotor, wherein each drive unit comprises two deflectable actuators, which are arranged in a V-shape with respect to each other, and a friction element, which is connected to both actuators, and wherein the rotor and the friction elements are pressed in a direction toward each other by means of a spring device arranged between the drive units, such that, when the actuators are not deflected, all the friction elements are in contact with the rotor and jointly span a contact plane, wherein a continuous movement of the rotor is realized by means of phase-offset control of the actuators of different groups of drive units. The invention further relates to a method for operating the rotation actuating device.

Device and method for effecting rotational actuation

A positioning device is disclosed which can include a base and a positioning element, which is configured to be adjusted with respect to six degrees of freedom relative to the base, wherein the positioning element is coupled to the base via at least three pairs of length-variable and electrically driven leg elements, and each leg element is connected, at its respective ends, to the base and the positioning element via an articulation element. A respective pair of legs projects through another pair of legs and each pair of legs is arranged perpendicular to the respective other pairs of legs. According to exemplary embodiments, each of the articulation elements associated with a leg element has only two axes of rotation (DA), which are arranged perpendicular to each other, so that the articulation elements allow pivotal movements of each respective leg element in precisely two planes that are perpendicular to each other and run through a longitudinal axis of the leg element, and at the same time prevent a rotational movement about a longitudinal axis of the leg element.

The invention relates to a method for activating at least one portion, to be specific a change portion, of an electromechanical element (), comprising the following steps: providing an electromechanical element, wherein at least the change portion has at least two electrodes, which are spaced apart from one another, and arranged between the electrodes a polycrystalline and ferroelectric or ferroelectric-piezoelectric material with a multiplicity of domains, wherein, in an initial state, at least some of the domains have directions of polarization that are different from one another; generating an electrical field between the electrodes of the change portion by applying an electrical voltage in the form of at least one voltage pulse with a defined amplitude and a defined duration; transforming some of the domains with directions of polarization that are different from one another into a state of the same direction of polarization as a result of the at least one voltage pulse, and thereby producing an increase in the extent of the electromechanical element along a direction of extent V that is defined and persists without the presence of an electrical voltage, or transforming some of the domains with the same direction of polarization into a state with directions of polarization that differ from one another as a result of the at least one voltage pulse, and thereby producing a decrease in the extent of the electromechanical element along the direction of extent V that is defined and persists without the presence of an electrical voltage. The invention also relates to the use of an electromechanical element activated by this method as an adjusting element and to the arrangement of an electromechanical element activated by this method between two elements () that are to be moved with respect to one another.

An adjusting device includes a base body, at least two drive elements, and a movable platform. Each of the drive elements abuts against a lever transmission device to perform a defined adjustment motion relative to the base body as a tilting motion about an axis through the platform and/or a translational motion parallel to an axis perpendicular to a platform plane. Joint elements allow for a tilting motion of the platform solely about the tilting axis. A spring element counteracts a parasitic translational motion in the platform plane and/or a parasitic rotatory motion of the platform about an axis of rotation arranged perpendicular to the platform plane due to the adjustment motion.

A piezoelectric stepper drive includes a piezoelectric drive apparatus with at least two drive sections, each acted upon by at least two piezoelectric actuators, and a driven member which is advanced by at least one of the drive sections when control voltages are applied to the actuators. The drive apparatus is configured approximately in the shape of a triangle, at the tip of which the drive sections are arranged. At least one of the drive sections is biased against the driven member, in the absence of control voltages applied to the actuators, such that the drive section blocks advance of the driven member, where each of the drive sections is mounted individually resilient relative to a base of the triangle.

The invention relates to a method and to an arrangement for operating a dynamic nano focusing system for use thereof in the field of microscopy, interferometry or similar applications, wherein the nano focusing system comprises a lever-transmission piezo actuator and a frictionless guide based on a resiliently deformable solid body joint which is connected to a mounting unit, in particular for a lens, in order to implement the desired adjustment paths for the focusing. According to the invention, in order to increase the dynamics during the focusing process, a secondary fine adjustment movement is superimposed on the primary adjustment movement, said secondary fine adjustment movement having a smaller adjustment path but higher frequency than the primary adjustment movement, wherein, when the fine adjustment is carried out, a determination is made as to whether the focusing result changes, in order to specify according thereto the amount and/or the direction of the primary adjustment movement.

A piezoelectric rotary drive for a shaft, is disclosed which can include a piezoelectric actuator and a coupling portion for driving the shaft as a stick-slip drive. To transmit greater contact forces between the frame and the shaft, at least one piezoelectric actuator and an adjustable and/or deformable frame with at least one coupling portion can be coupled to the shaft in a force-locked manner so as to accomplish a stick-slip drive, wherein the frame translates a piezoelectric deformation of the actuator mechanically such that the coupling portion rotates about the axis of the shaft over at least a part of the circumference of the shaft.

An arrangement for a temperature-compensated multi-dimensional micropositioning of mutually position-defined optical components including a guide unit for housing the optical components and a plurality of piezo actors. The guide unit includes two spaced plates or rings. Also included is three equally spaced solid joints arranged or integrated between the rings or plates, and stack-type piezo actors secured in a neighbouring relationship with the solid joints in such a manner that actuation forces act on the rings or plates. Further, at least the surfaces of the rings or plates accommodating the optical components are coated with a material corresponding to that of the optical components, the guide unit and the optical components are made from materials with essentially the same temperature coefficients, and one stack-type piezo actor is arranged between two solid joints.

Arrangement for the temperature-compensated multi-dimensional micropositioning of mutually position-defined optical components

An adjusting device with a piezo drive is provided with two piezo translators which are brought into functional connection with a driven element by means of a spring element. A transmission of motion occurs corresponding to the change in length of the piezo translators, while resetting of the piezo translators occurs by removing the functional connection through their associated control links. Because of the continuous biasing of the spring element, a secure engagement of the driven element is guaranteed. As a result, the high precision requirements on the control links and their positioning displacements, which would otherwise be necessary for engagement, can be displaced with.

The invention relates to a piezoelectric positioning element having a micrometer screw, which is combined with a piezotranslator via an intermediate part that is adjustable in length. The stationary portion and the piezoelectrically adjustable portion of the intermediate part are joined to one another by means of a parallel spring guide.
