Polymers of (N-lower alkyl)dimethylglutarimide or (N-hydrogen)dimethylglutarimide are resistant to surface crazing, molecular weight degradation and yellowing on exposure to ultraviolet light, by inclusion of a hindered amine stabilizer.

Ultraviolet resistant glutarimide

Glutarimide polymers having an acid and anhydride content lower than the acid and/or anhydride content normally present in the glutarimide polymers. Blends of the reduced acid and anhydride glutarimide polymers with thermoplastic materials are disclosed. A process for altering the properties of imide polymers by reducing or substantially removing acid and anhydride levels normally present in the imide polymer is also disclosed.

Imide polymers

Compositions comprised of synergistic amounts of aromatic polycarbonate, acrylate-based core-shell polymer, and aromatic polyester are disclosed.

Acrylate rubber modification of aromatic polyesters

High impact and solvent resistant composition comprising (A) about 25 to 95 percent by weight of an aromatic polyester, (B) about 1 to 8 percent by weight of an aromatic polycarbonate, and (C) and balance to make 100% of a coreshell polymer having a butadiene-based core. Preferably the composition also includes about 1 to 150 parts by weight of glass fiber reinforcement per 100 parts of (A), (B), and (C).
