A conditioning doctor blade () for a fiber web machine contains a number of reinforcement fiber layers () laminated on top of one another into an epoxy matrix (), and silicon carbide particles (), so that the reinforcement fiber layers () have formed a fiber core () and surface fiber layers () on both sides of the fiber core (). There is less epoxy matrix () in the fiber core () than in the surface fiber layers ().

Conditioning doctor blade for fiber web machine

A doctor blade for a fiber web machine () includes a blade section () and a fastening detent section (). In the cross-sectional plane, the blade section () is asymmetric while the fastening detent section () is substantially symmetric so that the doctor blade () can be installed in two opposite positions for providing two different functions. The invention also relates to a doctor arrangement in a fiber web machine.

A composite doctor blade to be installed in a blade holder () containing a throat () has a rear part () made of a composite material which has a profiling () which protrudes beyond the plane () defined by the doctor blade in order to retain the doctor blade in the blade holder (). Equipment and method for changing a blade

A reeling device ( ), has a support base ( ), a support arm ( ), and a shaft ( ) mounted on the support arm ( ). One shaft end has a boss ( ) and the other end has a revolving frame ( ). Mounted to the device is a transit case ( ), within which the used doctor blades ( ) of a paper/cardboard machine are reeled on a roll. Raw material is supplied to a blade production plant, where the blades are produced, then transported to a paper/cardboard plant and stored in the plant prior to being mounted in connection with paper/cardboard machine rolls, where their condition is monitored during use. Used doctor blades are removed from the machine, packed in storable form with the reeling device, and are stored in the paper/cardboard plant. The packed used blades are transported away from the paper/cardboard plant and delivered into recycling, reuse or end use.
