The invention relates to a novel gas filter structure, a filtering method and a method of producing the filter structure. The structure according to the invention includes a planar, porous isolation material layer () having two opposing surfaces. According to the invention both surfaces of the isolation material layer () include comprise a porous conductive layer () including a porous filtering matrix treated with a conductive material. The conductive material consists of a material different from the support matrix. By use of the conductive layers it is possible to create in the isolation material an electric field that considerably improves the filtering efficiency of the isolation material, especially for small particles.

A microstructure area () providing a first diffractive visual effect is produced on the surface layer () of a paper or cardboard substrate () of a product (). In addition, a bulge () or a recess () having a second microstructure area () is produced on the surface layer (), wherein a doubly curved portion () is located between the first () and the second () microstructure areas. Said combination of the bulge ()/recess (), microstructure areas () and doubly curved portion () makes counterfeiting of the product () difficult and provides a special visual effect.

The invention relates to an electrical and/or optical temperature detector/indicator based on conductive polymers, said detector/indicator being suitably used in such packages for products, the temperature changes of which need to be monitored.
