The invention relates to a respiratory flow sensor comprising a flow tube, which has a longitudinal axis, a first flow tube portion and a second flow tube portion, comprising a flow resistor, which is disposed between the first flow tube portion and the second flow tube portion in the flow channel, and comprising two ports for extracting the pressure difference generated by the flow resistor. The first port opens into the first flow tube portion via a first connecting line and said first port is disposed at the first flow tube portion. The second port opens into the second flow tube portion via a second connecting line and said second port is disposed at the second flow tube portion. The ports each comprise a connecting line portion, which extends substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the flow tube. The openings of the ports are aligned in the same direction.

Respiratory flow sensor

The invention is related to ventilation apparatuses and methods for operating a ventilator of a ventilator apparatus. In the method at least one duration ratio factor is set in a computing system of the ventilator apparatus; at least one minute volume, at least one functional dead space volume and at least one time constant are determined; a respiration frequency is computed, based on a previously defined lung model, depending on the determined parameters. The computed respiration frequency is optimized on at least one minimum of a delivered parameter, which is induced to a patient using the ventilator; an inspiratory time and an expiratory time are determined based on the computed respiration frequency and the duration ratio factor; at least one tidal volume based on the previously computed respiration frequency and the determined minute volume is computed; and a delivered respiratory parameter of the ventilator is closed loop controlled.

Ventilator apparatus and method for operating a ventilator in said ventilator apparatus

The invention relates to a respiratory flow sensor () comprising a flow tube () which has a flow channel () and tube connections for tubes at the free ends () of the flow tube, a cover flap () which is arranged in the flow channel () and divides the flow channel () into a first flow channel section () and a second flow channel section (), and comprising connections () which open into the flow channel () on both sides of the cover flap () and which are used to decrease the pressure difference generated by the cover flap (). A drainage device () which comprises drain grooves () is provided in the flow channel (), and the cover flap () has a hinge region which is formed by a first slot and a second H-shaped slot.

Respiratory device

The invention relates to a device and a method for the generation of respirational air. The device according to the invention makes it possible to dehumidify air optimally. The dehumidification problem is achieved with a tapering passage, in particular with a nozzle. The nozzle is contained in a tube in which the mixture of air and water flows. A pressure which is higher on one side and which leads to a local increase in the flow rate in the nozzle and to a lower temperature prevails in the nozzle. These circumstances result in the water further condensing out of the air in the nozzle. The water which is condensed out is entrained by the air stream and can be separated off in a water separator connected directly after the nozzle, even before the gas or the air (after the nozzle) can become saturated again.

Device and method for generation of respirational air

A ventilator is disclosed which has a compact block made of plastic or metal and includes an electrical computer interface, in which rigid pipes and a gas supply container are integrated, resulting in a more compact device than conventional superstructures and improved therapy gas delivery and nebulization.

The invention relates to a device for the exact measurement of gases with a plurality of sensors which are evaluated by means of a microcontroller so that high accuracy of measurement is obtained independently of the environmental conditions, which are also measured.

Gas flow measuring device

The invention refers to a new type of ventilator, which has a compact block, in which rigid pipes and a gas supply container are integrated. The new structure is more compact than conventional superstructures. In addition to this improvements have been made to the therapy gas delivery and nebulization.
