An exercise system includes a resistance unit for the performance of a wide variety of exercises including those previously performed using free weights, exercise machines, rowing machines, and/or ski machines. The resistance unit is usable alone or with a bench system that preferably includes a bench unit. The bench system can include an extension unit mounted to the bench unit, wherein a resistance unit is mountable to the exercise system in a plurality of mounting positions that align with various bench configurations to permit the performance of a wide variety of resistance exercises. The exercise system includes a software application which receives and analyzes data received from the resistance unit and generates a graphical user interface on a display unit for optimized display and representation of real time training data and an interpretation of the results.

Exercise system with a variable resistance unit and an improved performance software application

An exercise system includes a bench system usable in combination with a resistance unit for the performance of a wide variety of exercises including those previously performed using free weights, exercise machines, rowing machines, and/or ski machines. The bench system preferably includes a bench unit, which is configurable in various bench configurations including flat, seated, incline and decline configurations as well as a sliding seat configuration. The bench system can include an extension unit mounted to the bench unit, wherein a resistance unit is mountable to the exercise system in a plurality of mounting positions that align with various bench configurations to permit the performance of a wide variety of resistance exercises while varying the angle of resistance generated by the pull cord on the body party being exercised. The mounting positions optimize the location of the resistance unit and the pull cords depending upon the bench configuration to vary and optimize the angle of resistance applied to the user's muscles and body parts during exercises.

Exercise system with a variable resistance unit

A compact high resistance fitness device for superior independent exercising or individual rehabilitation is disclosed including a platform base plate having at least one pivotally mounted resistance module attached to the platform base plate, where the at least one resistance module has an independent user-selectable resistance setting with incremental resistance force ranges of from about 5 pounds up to 500 pounds. The resistance module includes a pull cord coil storage spool configured to wrap and unwrap a pull cord of a small diameter, high-strength pull cord emanating from the resistance module. The high strength pull cord terminates at its outer end by a handle, such as a hand/foot receptacle, with a length sufficient to allow pull strokes of up to fifty feet or more, with as much weight resistance as a user could want in a compact and portable unit, capable of being taken anywhere for use. Of special interest is that the fitness device may include sensors and other means for collecting data and relaying that data to a smartphone, a computer, the cloud or any other device for display and processing.

An improved wheelchair lift-transfer device provides capabilities for a patient or caregiver to independently control the wheelchair and lift functions to elevate and move about safely. The compact lift-transfer device is readily usable to assist in transporting and lifting patients from various locations including wheelchairs, beds and chairs. Further, the lift-transfer device is also collapsible for storage and transport.

A cable retractor for use in a variety of applications includes a housing forming an internal chamber, and first and second drums within the chamber for winding of the cable. The first drum may include a stationary outer surface, and the second drum may be formed by a plurality of rollers mounted on a rotatable frame. The rollers may orbit about the first drum upon rotation of said frame, with each of the rollers also rotating about its own roller axis. The first and second drums may be sized to enable wrapping of the cable both side-by-side and in multiple layers about at least one of the first drum and the second drum. The cable retractor may include structure to urge the rollers to rotate with respect to the frame as the frame rotates. For example, a portion of the rollers may be frictionally engaged with a track, and capable of slipping with respect to the track to provide smooth extension and retraction of the cable even as multiple layers of cable are wound about the first and second drums.

An improved wheelchair lift-transfer device provides capabilities for a patient or caregiver to independently control the wheelchair and lift functions to elevate and move about safely. The patient can use a handheld wireless remote control and summon their wheelchair lift-transfer device from across the room, to their bedside, then independently transfer into the device and then drive it about in their home, raising and lowering their body as needed.

An insert for an existing file drawer. The insert includes upper and lower insert drawers which are each of shallower depth and fit within the original drawer compartment in a vertically stacked relationship. The upper and lower insert drawers are coupled between the original drawer front and the remaining original box structure. The insert drawers are horizontally slidably mounted one above the other so that opening movement of the drawer front horizontally sequentially extends the upper and lower insert drawers into a fully open position which enables access into both insert drawers.

An insert drawer arrangement attachable to an existing drawer of a file cabinet to define a raised second storage compartment. The arrangement includes an insert drawer provided with end panels which are disposed sidewardly adjacent separate mounting panels, the latter being mounted on the end walls of the existing drawer. The sidewardly adjacent end and mounting panels have a horizontal guide structure cooperating therebetween to enable the insert drawer to be horizontally moved from a first position superimposed over the existing drawing into a second position wherein it is cantilevered outwardly beyond the existing drawer to permit access to the interior of the existing drawer.

Upper drawer insert

An automatic gap adjustor is provided. The automatic gap adjustor includes an upper cammed disk, a lower cammed disk spaced apart from the upper cammed disk, and a resilient spring element therebetween. The upper cammed disk includes a first plurality of cams on an upper axial surface and a second plurality of cams on a lower axial surface. The lower cammed disk includes a third plurality of cams on an upper axial surface and a fourth plurality of cams on an undercut portion spaced apart from the upper axial surface. Opposing cams can be radially offset from each other, such that reciprocating axial movement of the upper disk relative to the lower disk can achieve a stepped rotation of the upper disk. Rotation of the upper disk can drive the automatic gap adjustor along a threaded support to eliminate a gap along a portion thereof.

Automatic gap adjustor

An adapter structure which cooperates between a modular electrical distribution unit and a light fixture to facilitate electrical connection therebetween. The adapter structure includes an adapter module having an insulative housing containing electrical conductors extending therethrough and defining connectors at input and output ends thereof. The housing mounts directly to the light fixture, preferably within and extending through a knock-out port in a wall of the light fixture, and a plug-type connector at the output end of the adapter structure can be plug engaged with a compatible connector associated with a electrical power distribution unit. The output end of the adapter has a gripping conductive socket structure which enables pigtail conductors associated with the light fixture to be directly plugged therein.

Modular electrical distribution system for a building

A universal power distribution system is provided for routing electrical circuits within a building structure to comprehensively provide electrical power to the building in ceiling configurations, wall-mounted configurations, raised floor configurations and in office furniture configurations. The system components for all of these configurations have common plug connectors that are engagable with each other so as to be readily usable in a wide variety of applications. The system is readily adaptable to form virtually any conventional circuit configuration found within conventional hard-wired systems yet is formed simply through the routing of the cables through the building cavities and interconnection is accomplished merely by plugging components together rather than through labor-intensive manual wiring.
