Methods of forming a fertilizer composition having slow-release nitrogen compounds with a molten process are disclosed. The methods include mixing of a crystalline polyethylene wax with urea and formaldehyde to form a molten methylene urea mixture. The contents of the molten methylene urea mixture react to form slow-release nitrogen compounds. Fertilizer compositions formed of or including the slow-release nitrogen compounds are also disclosed.

Granular agricultural compositions formed of a micronutrient, a granular carrier, and a nitrogen source including plant readily available nitrogen are disclosed. The granular agricultural compositions can be a granular herbicidal composition when the micronutrient is a metal chelate. The granular agricultural compositions can reduce metal chelate phytotoxicity and exhibit beneficial greening. Methods of making and using the granular agricultural compositions are further disclosed.

Herbicide-adjuvant composition compositions for controlling weed plants are disclosed. A herbicide-adjuvant composition includes a phenoxy-based herbicide and a petroleum-based adjuvant. The petroleum-based adjuvant may include a mixture of alicyclic hydrocarbons ranging from C17 to C29 and a hydro-treated heavy naphthenic distillate. The herbicide-adjuvant composition may include a viscosity modifier. Also disclosed are granules coated in a herbicide-adjuvant composition. The granule may be a fertilizer granule or a carrier granule. A method of controlling a weed plant including spreading a plurality of granules coated with a herbicide-adjuvant composition on the weed plant. The phenoxy-based herbicide and the petroleum-based adjuvant are spread on the weed plant in a single step.
