Methods, systems, and apparatuses for remote well operation control. Methods include conducting, with a plurality of remote well operation control hosts operating on corresponding remote well logging data acquisition management systems, a well operation using a well operation system at a well, wherein the well operation system includes a carrier having disposed thereon at least one logging instrument. Methods may include establishing a first operational control relationship between the carrier and a first of the plurality of remote well operation control hosts sufficient for the first remote well operation control host to control the carrier; and establishing a second operational control relationship between a selected one of the at least one logging instrument and a second remote well operation control host different than the first, the operational control relationship sufficient for the second remote well operation control host to control the at least one logging instrument and receive logging data.

Distributed remote logging

Methods, systems, and apparatuses for remote well logging. Methods include conducting, with a plurality of remote well operation control hosts operating on corresponding remote well logging data acquisition management systems, a well logging operation using a well logging system at a logging site, wherein the well logging system includes a conveyance device having disposed thereon a first logging instrument and a second logging instrument; operating the first logging instrument responsive to at least one well-logging command from a first remote well operation control host of the plurality; and operating the second logging instrument responsive to at least one well-logging command from a second remote well operation control host of the plurality different than the first. Methods include transmitting a virtual presence feed associated with a logging site supervisor from the logging site to at least one of the corresponding remote well logging data acquisition management systems.

A method and system for transmitting data through a transmission medium between surface and subsurface transceivers. A surface transceiver and a subsurface transceiver are each configured to selectively transmit over a plurality of transmission channels, each transmission channel having a range of frequencies within the total frequency bandwidth. The surface transceiver is adapted to initialize a channel to determine at least one parameter affecting the current maximum data rate for transmission of information through the channel using a given transmission methodology. At least one of the channels uses carrierless phase/amplitude (CAP) modulation for its transmission methodology. The surface transceiver and the subsurface transceiver adapt to cooperatively periodically test a channel by transmission of a calibration signal from the subsurface transceiver to the surface transceiver. Control circuitry compares the received calibration signal with the calibration signal, responding to the result of the comparison to adjust at least one parameter as necessary to achieve an optimum rate of data transmission through said channel.

Telemetry method and system for subsurface well and reservoir logging data

A system for communicating with subsurface components includes: a surface host connected to a subsurface location; a subsurface host connected to the surface host by a communication link, the subsurface host configured to communicate with the surface host using a communication protocol; and a plurality of tools configured to be disposed in a borehole, the plurality of downhole tools communicatively coupled to the subsurface host via a communication network. The communication network is divided into a plurality of network subsets, each network subset of the plurality of network subsets including one or more downhole tools, all of the one or more downhole tools configured to communicate using a common protocol, each network subset including a network device configured to receive data and translate the data to the common protocol, the common protocol of one network subset being different than the common protocol of at least one other network subset.

Telemetry method and system for subsurface well and reservoir and logging data

A paper handler, in combination with a scanning device for seamlessly providing a length of paper to the scanning device. A drag system is also included that contributes to handle the paper handled by the paper handler for providing the seamless continuous paper flow through the scanning device. The paper handler further comprises an optic sensor capable of sensing marks on the paper. The optic sensor communicates with the scanning device indicating sensing of the marks by the optic sensor.

Continuous paper feed system

A paper handler, in combination with a printer comprising, a paper inlet into that which paper enters the paper handler; where the paper has leading edge. The paper handler further comprises a paper exit where paper exits the paper handler and travels from the paper handler to the inlet of the printer. A drag system is also included that contributes to handle the paper handled by the paper handler thereby providing for seamless continuous paper flow through the printer. The paper handler further comprises an optic sensor capable of sensing marks on the paper. The optic sensor communicates with the printer indicating sensing of the marks by the optic sensor.
