Devices and techniques are generally described for an access control mesh network. In various examples, a first access control peripheral may establish communication using a first communication modality, at a first time, with first access control hardware. The first access control peripheral may determine at a second time, that the communication with the first access control hardware using the first communication modality is unavailable. In some further examples, the first access control peripheral may establish communication with second access control hardware. In some examples, the communication with the second access control hardware may be established using a second communication modality.

Access control mesh network

A climate control system for a vehicle comprises a defroster assembly having a temperature sensor that detects an interior temperature of an interior of the vehicle, a camera disposed within the interior that has a lens facing a windshield, and at least one vent directed at the windshield. A body controller that, responsive to a temperature of the interior being less than a temperature threshold, and a light refractive index of the windshield being less than an opacity threshold, outputs a status of the windshield. A telematics communication system that, responsive to the status from the body controller, transmits a notification to an application stored on a mobile telecommunications device.

Automatic windshield defrosting system

An embedded modem for a vehicle is provisioned by requesting confirmation of the modem configuration from a telematics server. A request is received over a vehicle bus from an electronic control unit (ECU) requesting confirmation of an ECU configuration assigned by the end-of-line systems. The embedded modem sends the request to the telematics server for confirmation, and reports a result from the telematics server to the ECU. A telematics server receives a request to provision an ECU from an embedded modem of a vehicle that was provisioned using the telematics server, forwards the request to a backend system configured to process the request, receives a response to the request from the backend server, and makes the response available to the embedded modem.

Electronic communication modules provisioning for smart connectivity

A telematics control system includes: an external server configured to serialize a script with an external protocol buffer and transmit the serialized script to a telematics control units (TCU); a vehicle having sensors and the TCU, the TCU configured to: deserialize the script with a TCU protocol buffer, execute the script via an interpreter preloaded on the TCU, store data from the sensors based on the script.

Scripting on a telematics control unit

Embodiments include a vehicle comprising a plurality of wheels, each wheel including a pressure sensor and a wireless transceiver; a central transceiver configured to obtain tire pressure and signal strength information from each of the wireless transceivers; and a processor communicatively coupled to the central transceiver and configured to detect removal of one of the wheels based on the signal strength information obtained from the wireless transceiver included in the removed wheel. Other embodiments include a method comprising obtaining tire pressure and signal strength information from each of a plurality of wireless transceivers respectively coupled to a plurality of wheels included in a vehicle; and detecting, using one or more processors, removal of one of the wheels from the vehicle based on the signal strength information obtained from the wireless transceiver included in the removed wheel.

Vehicle wheel anti-theft system and method

A vehicle information server maps a unique identifier of a stolen vehicle to a network identifier of the vehicle. Responsive to receiving the network identifier of the stolen vehicle and identifying access of the network identifier to a component of the network, a service provider server of a service provider network indicates a physical location of the component and a time of access of the component to a vehicle theft system.
