An apparatus, method and computer program is described for detecting a pre-event signature based on sensor data, wherein the pre-event signature is indicative of a prediction of a first event; determining an event masking action corresponding to the first event; and causing performance, in response to the detection of the pre-event signature, of the event masking action for masking the first event.

Event masking

According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided an apparatus comprising a memory configured to store a sensor management dataset, and at least one processing core, configured to process an instruction to limit an accuracy of a first sensor in accordance with a resolution requirement of a property measured by the first sensor, determine, using the sensor management dataset, at least one second sensor which is capable of estimating the property, and cause lowering of resolution of data produced by the at least one second sensor, the extent of resolution lowering being determined based on first resolution requirement and the sensor management dataset.

Sensor privacy management

A computing device () for authenticating a user () is provided. The computing device is operative to display a first text () to the user, acquire a representation of the user subvocalizing a part of the first text, derive a user phrasing signature from the acquired representation, and authenticate the user in response to determining that the user phrasing signature and a reference phrasing signature fulfil a similarity condition. Optionally, the computing device may be further operative to determine if the user is authorized to read the first text. Further optionally, the computing device may be operative to reveal obfuscated parts of the first text in response to determining that the user is authorized to read the first text, or to discontinue displaying the first text, or to obfuscate at least part of the first text, in response to determining that the user is not authorized to read the first text.

Authenticating a user subvocalizing a displayed text

Using a transformation based at least in part on a non-simple orthogonal or unitary matrix, data may be transmitted over a data bus in a manner that is resilient to one or more types of signal noise, that does not require a common reference at the transmission and acquisition points, and/or that has a pin-efficiency that is greater than 50% and may approach that of single-ended signaling. Such transformations may be implemented in hardware in an efficient manner. Hybrid transformers that apply such transformations to selected subsets of signals to be transmitted may be used to adapt to various signal set sizes and/or transmission environment properties including noise and physical space requirements of given transmission environments.

Orthogonal differential vector signaling

Technologies are generally described for coordination of structured light-based image detectors. In some examples, one or more structured light sources may be configured to project sets of points onto the scene. The sets of points may be arranged into disjoint sets of geometrical shapes such as lines, where each geometrical shape includes a subset of the points projected by an illumination source. A relative position and or a color of the points in each geometrical shape may encode an identification code with which each illumination source may be identified. Thus, even when the point clouds projected by each of the illumination sources overlap, the geometrical shapes may still be detected, and thereby a corresponding illumination source may be identified. A depth map may then be estimated based on stereovision principles or depth-from-focus principles by one or more image detectors.

Coordination of multiple structured light-based 3D image detectors

A method and apparatus for determining one or more first devices that are Internet devices meeting all of the following conditions: residing at a given location; equipped with one or more ambience sensing capable sensors; and operation mode being such that their ambience sensing capable sensors should not cause transmission of data. One or more second devices are determined that are Internet devices at the given location and equipped with one or more elements capable of causing an ambient stimulation detectable by the sensors of one or more first devices. Data transmissions of the first devices are monitored. Issuing of the ambient stimulation is caused by a subset of the one or more second devices. It is determined whether the issuing of the ambient stimulation caused a significant change in the monitored data transmissions of the first devices.

Method and apparatus for compromised IoT device detection

According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided an apparatus comprising at least one processing core, at least one memory including computer program code, the at least one memory and the computer program code being configured to, with the at least one processing core, cause the apparatus at least to receive from a pressure sensor matrix data describing a time-varying pressure interaction of the pressure sensor matrix with a second pressure sensor matrix, process the data to obtain a bit sequence, and use the bit sequence as a shared secret in a cryptographic procedure with a device.

An electronic device for maintaining a distributed ledger, which is maintained by multiple electronic nodes, wherein the distributed ledger includes multiple blocks which are associated at least with one of the previously recorded blocks and wherein a block can be added to the distributed ledger based on a mining process, has circuitry configured to perform a mining process of a block to be added to the distributed ledger, wherein the mining process by at least a part of the multiple electronic nodes includes compressing data of the block to be added to the distributed ledger.

Electronic node and method for maintaining a distributed ledger

A communications device for generating a key for use as a shared secret in communications with another communications device. Each communications device comprises a sensor array for measuring a spatially-varying magnetic field originating from a first spatially-varying density of metallic particles comprised in a first battery, when subjected to an excitation magnetic field, and processing means operative to acquire a set of values from the sensor array, which set of values represents the spatially-varying magnetic field, and to derive the key from the set of values. The excitation magnetic field is generated by a magnetic-field generator comprised in one of the communications devices. Thereby, the two communications devices may, when in proximity, generate identical keys by probing the spatially-varying density of metallic particles comprised in the first battery.

Generating a key for use as a shared secret

The invention relates to a system () for transmitting location dependent data. The system comprises multiple antennas (), a transmitter () coupled to the multiple antennas () and a processor (). The processor () is configured to determine multiple location dependent parts of the location dependent data, each of the multiple location dependent parts corresponding to a different geographical region (-), and to use the transmitter () to transmit at least two of the multiple location dependent parts to a different target location (-) over the multiple antennas (). Each of the at least two location dependent parts is associated with a different reference location (-) and the distance between a target location (-) and a reference location (-) associated with a location dependent part transmitted to the target location (-) is smaller than a predetermined threshold. The invention further relates to a device () for receiving location dependent data. The device () comprises a receiver and a processor. The processor is configured to use the receiver to receive a broadcast data stream comprising a first location dependent part of the location dependent data and a first identifier identifying the first location dependent part at a previous instance and a second location dependent part of the location dependent data and a second identifier identifying the second location dependent part at a current instance. The processor is further configured to detect a difference between the first identifier and the second identifier and to disregard the first location dependent part when the difference is detected. The invention further relates to the methods performed by the system and the device and a computer program product enabling a computer system to perform any of these methods.
